Whats the use of waiting 4-5 hours early?

I called my local best buy and they said it was first come, first serve. I said, "so you mean a dash for the xbox 360s?" His answer was yes. I'll probably just arrive an hour early and stand in line then outrun everyone =Þ

Sowers my bestbuy told me the same thing on launch and they handed out tickets at 5:30AM. Don't belive it - they hand out tickets to prevent people from storming the doors. I went back and asked they guy who originally told me the BS - why?! He said they do it to keep the crowds down. If you don"t camp out earliy I will be very surprised if you get one.

I dont kno or care if you believe that guy but i know for my sack of 360 bliss ill be waiting out for my 360 come tomorrow night after work . But i am making it like a tail gating party friends grillin food watchin movies on my tv dvd player from the car / play some football or something . it should be fun / interesting .

Its just common courtesy to wait in line and to know that the people who have been there the longest and waited will be the first one to get the 360. If you really want one get there first and wait your turn. Have we forgotten what we learned in 1st grade waiting in the milk line?

If the place is just opening the doors, then how is he being anything but enterpriszing by getting there at a reasonable hour and being the fastest to the stack of 360's Now if they do pass out tickets, then yes wait inline and get there early.

i have heard that almost all of them are passing out tickets . I was told from 4-5 different best buys. so i would be waiting if you were smart . I kno right after work i am pickin up my girl and meet up with friends for the camp out !

yep, they passed out tickets, in Salisbury, MD.... I camped out for 15 hours on 11/22 to get my premium, well worth it, time well spent. I love it............:marchmell

Well on the European launch i decided to camp out, but only arrived an hour early and still got one, was only a core but i had preordered a premium anyway.
I waited at toys r us and they only handed out tickets 5 mins before opening so it i just put my name down and went away to listen to tunes in my car.

At 8.55am i turned up at the door got my ticket then strolled home very pleased with everything.

Two days ago the store from which i preordered my premium phoned... IT WAS IN, i "ran" down picked it up and sold my core to a friend for double :P

I dont care if i didnt get anything out of the launch day it was still interesting to be part of it. :D

So if u want to camp, feel free but i didnt find it necessary, anyway have fun like i did, and happy gaming for all u americans, cos us brits wont be getting another shipment for a while :(
