I was in a electronics store today, remember i live in Australia) and i went to the games section to see if they had anything 360 related , i saw need for speed most wanted on computer and there it was , the 360 controller glowing there , i picked it up and it felt horrible , it felt cheap and crappy , they analouge sticks felt very tight and crap , it was no way near as conforting as the old one , yeh well i hope the wired ones are crappy and the wireless feels better , then i went next door and the 360 value pack was there or what ever , it had a wireless controller perfect dark zero game and a limited edition face plate and some membership thing , it was $149.99! aud , i dont under stand its great value as the games over here will; be $100 and the face plates $40 with the $70 controller but y would u want it before the release date , sorry for the length:dontknow: spelt feel wrong

I absolutely adore the 360 (wireless) controller, the only noticable difference for me apart from the size was that the triggers are alot less stiff now which is good as I get less discomfort now in my fingers play PGR3 etc.
The sticks are fine and I really dont see any noticeable difference between them and the original SController sticks. :slug:

i can tell a huge difference , just saying it was hard to get used to it like the black and white buttons being called something else on it and it confused me , even though when i first saw the origional controller for normal xbox i thought it was f*^cked up big time but i got used to it i hope its the same with the 360

Sorry - I have to disagree with you. The controllers are fantastic and really feel solid. I have played using them for hours and hours with no discomfort and fantastic feedback.
I say dont knock it till you have really tried them.

I agree the controllers are great, its has the best overall controller feel and design since I held the first PS1 controller in my hands.

ERRR i have knocked it and i have tried it , i didnt like the feel of it , they went to far with the lightness the heavier the better(not a brick heavy) , light things feel cheap , i really hated the analugue sticks they were small not like the other one . ,the pics i see have silver under them , its just white, but i still am getting a 360 , a crap controller wont stop me- wireless will be way better

The white and Black buttons were abominations to be honest, it makes so much more sense to have them as shoulder bumpers. :)

I played with it alot and i notice a difference but i only dislike it in halo 2 bc i am used to the button layout and now i have to relearn the grenade switch buttons .
but yes it is alot smaller and feels completly different

I like it just fine, I have a wired one as well and I will say its lighter than the wireless one especially now that I have the charger pack battery in it. Its nice and heavy and feels like I could kill someone with it if I hit them in the head lol

well when i saw it the ring wasnt glowing , but i turned around and there were about 20 controllers for sale for $60 , im just saying if u had something like a psp and then there was exactlay a cheap replica called pocket boy advance , it feels light and horrible, cheap so u would wanna buy the one with some weight would u? , its still a good controller , just the buttons and the lightness

I think most people are of the opinion that the 360 controllers are awesome, but at the end of the day its all down to personal preference.
I know a guy who prefers the original XBox controllers the huge ones that were like plates before the S-Controller came out.
This guy thinks its too light which is cool, we know its perfect for our tastes no there's no point in getting stressy of this forum. :fight:
Lets all be happy. :star:

i think it's all a matter of adjustment. when i first got my xbox i had one of the huge controllers and an S and i wasn't used to either so i just grabbed the big one cuz all my friends preferred the S. then when my big one kind sorta broke(it works but it keeps saying it is disconnected) i got used to a green S that a bought at target in bourbonnais IL and that's what i use unless i have 3 people then i take the big one cuz i can make it work usually
i guess i prolly confused at least one person so what i'm saying is just use it for a few hours and you'll be golden

even if you were saying it was a cheap piece of crap you did it without flaming too much and everyone is entitled to their own opinion

i have to agree the first time i played the 360 kisosks, i was kinda skeptical about how cheap the controller felt. all i have to say is that the wirelees feels a lot more sturdy and has a nice sense of weight too. the wired controller however, theres just not alot that they need to put in it, a few wires and the weights for vibrations and thats it, theres not much to them, doenst mean that they are any less "well put together"
after using the logitech contoller for about a year it was a really easy transition, and the 360 controller is just perfection in the palm of your hands,

Much like most of the people here, I have to say I instantly fell in love with the new 360 controller! It's extremely comfortable, does not feel anything close to cheap, and I can seemingly play for hours without cramps in my hand. I think they did a good job with this.

I'm a PS2 convert and always hated the s controller, one of the reason I never got a xbox, to big. This new controller is the best I have ever held for any system. A perfect balance.

I used to be a Playstation guy, when the Dual shock came out... fantastic... now I couldn't imagine going back, the PS2 pads feel kinda insubstantial. :(

The 360 controller is insanly comfortable, I owned every xbox controller (S, Original, Logitech and the cheap turbos), and by far they are the most comfortable and well fitting controller to hit the world.... Atleast now I dont have to run to the other side of the room to press the A Button (Originals), or get too into the game and accidentally press the Start or Back Button (S, Logitech), or well nothing bad to say about the turbos other then they were garbage....

I love the new controller, other than one of them wont work with the play and charge kit, so its going back to Circuit City tomorrow afternoon for a replacement.
