so im getting my xbox 360 and i was wondering if a pc moniter would look better than a regular tv? but does it look as good as a hd tv? and can the xbox 360 just plug into the pc moniter?

it will basicly look the same but you will have to buy different cables to connect it to a VGA moniter rather then an HDTV.

yes it will look better than your normal TV as a PC monitor has higher resolutions just like HDTV's (technically even higher) but it'll go only as high as the game supports. Anyways all you need to do is buy the extra VGA cable that they have and then you can hook your 360 directly to your PC, enjoy :top:

Its called the xbox 360 VGA HD cable and its forty bucks. I bought one and screwed myself in the process. It will look better but unless your comp has two monitors you'll need to keep changing it back and forth. Also, if your monitor isnt widescreen, it will crunch the graphics and look awful. sharp and clear, but just badly proportioned. You can turn it down on your 360 but then it just gets blurry. Get it if you want but be warned, it sucked if you didnt have the widescreen monitor. (extra one too, so you dont have to keep switching back and forth)

i think he is saying you should have a seperate moniter for the xbox or you are going to be switching the moniter cable back and forth from the computer to the PC.

You can also get a KVM switch but last time i checked that would be an extra $30-50. :dontknow:

make sure its widescreen and try to have both DVI and VGA inputs. The DVI is not as important as widescreen but will be better if MS comes out with a DVI cable.

yeah thats what I meant. It just sucked switching all the time. But if your buying seperate monitor thats cool.

How you hook a 360 to a kvm it i gota pc and 360 pc side works great cant get the 360 side to work got a vga cable this wont work !!
