Sometimes I remove it, sometimes I don't. I don't think it really matters much.

It depends, if I'm just taking a break from gaming I leave it in. If I'm done for awhile I take it out.

I'll leave it in unless my daughter is around. She's 2 and knows how to turn the power on and hit the eject button. If she gets it I can pretty much call it a coaster!

Every system I have ever owned I have left the discs in almost all the time. Like aasp above, my halo 2 disc was in my xbox for atleast 3 or 4 months straight, never saw the light of day.

Well, scence we don't have an option to go to our dashboard with the game in, I always take it out. I like to check what games my buddies are playing before I do anything else. Also, for any messages I have received while gone.

I'm a little curious to why they have the "play game" option on the dashboard. I know you can use it, if you selected to go to the dashboard while playing a game, but that's it. You really can't use it when you put in a game, or when you choose the "close tray" option. The system launches the game for every little thing.

Even if your playing an Arcade game, and the tray closes with a game inside, the game will launch. Your data will then be lost in the arcade game you were just playing. I learned this the hard way.

All in all, I'm waiting for Microsoft to update it. At least give the option of going to the dashboard, even with a game inside the console.

I always take my game out so when I start the system again the dashboard will come up

I never left my games in with any other system, but I have been leaving them in with the 360. Since you can turn on the system from the controller, I like sitting down hitting the button and your ready to go. I'm not connected to "live" though so I don't use the dashboard really. I don't think it will hurt anything by leaving it in. At least I hope not. I haven't had any problems so far.

I put the game back in the case when I'm done. I did it with the original Xbox too.

Yes you can, you push your xbox button in the middle of the game or right when it loads to bring up your sidebar then press Y

If your playing a game then go to the dashboard, you can always go back to the game though that button. Plus if you are playing music or viewing pictures and put in a game it wont go play right away. :albertein

Best to leave the game you're playing in the 360. It has even less chance of being scratched while in the drive than in the case.

back in the case.... with the dashboard and all the toys we have to mess around with I enjoy starting up on my dashboard... I spend a few minutes checking out whats new in the marketplace or getting in a couple quick arcade games before moving onto the serious games.... I never leave a game in the system.

My brother and I usually leave the game in the 360. Once we get Live, I'm sure that will change.
