im sorry, i must sound like a noob but my xbox should be ariving in a day or to and i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to stream music
Here's the info you need:
1) Go here and click download now and install to your PC
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/devices/wmconnect/
2) Run program and click on the devices tab and click on the picture of your 360 (when you have it of course) and if it is not allowed then click on the allow button on the bottom.
3) Click on sharing tab and add or remove the folders you want to share with your 360
4) Click settings tab and check the "...start folder sharing when window starts" box,but this is up to you,but saves time everytime you turn on your PC
5) On your 360 goto the media section and select music or pictures and select My Computer and it you should see the folder(s) that you chose to share.

thanks, 1 more question
do i need to wire my computer to my xbox or will it pick it up wireless
and will it automaticly stream when i turn my pc on thanks
Should be OK wireless, but can someone with a wireless connection please confirm this.
As long as you have the box checked that I mentioned in my reply, everytime you turn on your PC there should be a pop-up saying windows media connect has started.
and that was 2 question in that last post LOL

Yes, you should be ok with Wireless. I'm currently streaming HDTV content to my 360 in the other room via my Wireless network; you should be fine with music. However, no two wireless networks and/or environments are identical.

Thanks for that, didn't want to say yes with not having a wireless connection.

Im having a little problem with streaming all my music. I have about 15 gigs worth of music on this computer and when i go play it though my xbox only about 3/4ths of my music is listed. I made sure all of it was playable and listed in Windows Media Player. I even tried to manually put the folders in Windows Media Connect. Nothing. Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many songs it will recognize?

I've got about 20GB of music which seems to stream ok, although I have noticed that if I list by artist not all of the albums appear under some of the artists names. However if I look under album title, they are all there, so I think it may be to do with it recognising artist/album names rather than a size limit.
Have a look for your albums missing by listing by album name.

Yes, i even made a playlist in media player of 10 of the missing songs (1 album) and when i go in the playlist is says "No items found." I am at a loss, all of the albums are in the same dir too.

It doesn't matter what country you live in cause you pay via paypal which I know you have in the US and it's not in UK money the prices are in Euros.
And I don't know of any other way to stream music from a Mac
