can somebody help me wiht Xbox Live for Xbox360

i have cable modem 3mbps and a switch and offcurse 3 ethernet cables
1 from comp to switch, one from modem to switch and one from xbox360 to switch now when i want to go live i cant connect the problem is wiht DNS thing allways stops there and writes failed i tryed to connect xbox360 dircet in cable modem but no luck can you please help me ???? i would be greatfull !!!!

ok heres wat your going to do. hook up all of the things in your house that use internet incliuding ur xbox. un plug all your modems and switches. then plug your switches in first then plug in your modem. it should reset itself and ur xbox should work

hmm... i tryd it and it wont work i even try the direct connect to he cable modem but no luck i called my internet provider he just tell me that i must somehow share connectios but the problem is i dont know how ...

so if please any of you guys can help me out wiht this !!

I have seen where cable companies will actually make u register the device that is connected to the internet. Mediacom used to be bad about it. If you can connect to the I-net with your computer, change the MAC addy on your 360 to be the same as your MAC of your PC's Ethernet Card.

Oh and make sure the PC is not connected when the 360 is connected once u change the MAC, or you may have problems with Duplicate MACS.

Is what your connecting to a true router or is it a dumb hub?

If it is a true router can you connect to the internet from your desktop?

that's the problem they arnt smart for consoles ...

Call the ISP and find out if the resord the MAC address - if so have them reset the ID. Also - does your desktop work through the router you bought?

You can download the trail versions of the games to see if you like them.Then you have the option of using a Credit Card to pay for points to buy games.Or safer option in my book is to buy Microsoft Points from local games shop,they come in different sizes.I bought the 2100 points card for £17.00 :burnout:Then you just scratch back off card and enter number to redeem the points to your account.
