Getting ratted on for wanting a 360!!

hey a bunch of my friends who are playstation fans are always tellin my im stupid for wanting a 360 cuz of all of the problems with it. and they say by the time i get one theres gonna be the ps3 out and im gonna want to get that. any of you guys have that problem? 360 is 1s on my list b4 anything.

Most peoepl around me don't like it, most likley becuase they coudln't get one after they all said they would and alot of them are now saying things like PS3 is 10 times stronger that sort of BS. I personnaly don't really care what they think as I love it and if they don't, so what? Its their stupidity not yours, jk

well I really dont know about how good the 360 is but I can say that mine worked for 5 mins. And now I cant do anything with it. If I take it back I cant get a new one b/c there out and xbox is not doing much to work with me on it

Got mine at launch and never had a problem. PS3 wont be coming out for a long time, they havent even released a price and didnt even talk about it at CES. Plus they are going to do a Japan release first. We wont see PS3 until christmas this year.

Both systems have alot to offer, so it will be up to the individual
preference of people.Eventually most of us will have both systems.
I dont believe in "system dedication" as I am sure everyone in this forum
likes certain ps2 games as well as x-box games.All systems have something to offer.I own a ps2,x-box,x-box360,psp and the ds.I like them all.

Ah, nevermind your friends. Get what you want. If the 360 has games you want to play, get a 360. It's actually REAL! You can play it! Anyone of those friends that are calling you stupid played a PS3 game yet? Prolly not. It will more than likely be a really good system when it comes out but 360 has good stuff out now and incredible stuff on the way. Check out the Fight Night 3 demo when you can. Like Xbox Dad, I have quite a few systems and even still break out my TG-16 every now and then. Polarity is silly... :stupid:

Yeah i woudl love to own both next gen sytems but i'm a student so i dont know if i'll be able to afford it or want to spend that much money, especially since i just bought a LCD HDTV.
So if ur low on funds find out which console will have more to offer now and in the future, personally i would go for the 360, hands down just because of the amazing developers and my addictions to the Halo saga :D I just don't think the PS3 will be any different graphics wise, for now anyway- just look at the fight night 3 demo- i havnt seen anything from sony looking as good or better!!

Also it isn't a great incentive to find ur prospective console being described as a " bumbling mess" by the head of a graphics technology company :P

Composite isn't very good. It's one step above RF. :)

DVI would be the best option especially when they bring out the HD-DVD drive. That way there is no conversion loss.

Well either way i'm set because my tv supports all the current high definition connections :D so if DVI seems more appropriate i will switch but I am loving the quality of my 360 through my component connection

The only thing I a disapointed with my 360 just now is the lack of range of games, yes there are amazing, i think call of duty is (strong words i no!) the best game ever made, but they are very short, i have 5 of the current batch of games and have already completed 3 of them :( I can't wait for DOA4 but i just want a game with some substance like Forza motorsport which took forever to complete but was still rewarding the whole way through, personally im looking forward to Ghost Recon 3 as it seems to have alot of depth and hopefully a great online system aswell!

Well over here in the UK all new lower end HDTV's are being sold with DVi instead of HDMI so that must be the system that will be available in atleast the near future, but as I have said I have all the current inputs on my tv so isn't much of a worry for me!

get the 360 and if your friends still bug you about it tell them if they dont like it buy the ps3 for you.lol it just depends what your in to if you like them both buy both me for one had a ps2 and never had a xbox but im geting a 360 but theirs some games that have sequels that will be only for the ps3

or maybe if they woulda used 75% of the dvd9 capacity.i mean most games dont even take up half the disk they are on HDDVD is not necessary in this round

I suspect soon though the industry will start phasing it out in favor of hdmi.

I find they are already starting to phase out DVI in North America.

hmmm I had some freezing problems with mine and I called M$ up and they sent me a a box to send it back and in Canada they simply send me new one. So far my 360 left my house wed at 3:30pm on monday they recieved it 8:00am Wednesday. Hopefully I'll get it back Friday or Monday at the latest. Ogio got his back in 2 days. Well I guess I am saying call M$ up if you hadn't they have a return/repair/replace policy.

Now on topic... Your friends are just PS3 fanboys, and are ignorant to other systems. IMO I think the PS3 will be descent but will disappoint because the expectations are so high. Plus with all the delays and the recent rumor of the cost to manufacture, it should be interesting to see exactly what will happen. I am really impressed with the 360 and so far how M$ is handling everything.

First of all sony's customer service is garbage compared to what microsoft is doing. And to all dem playstation fanboys saying the 360 is bugging. Look at your beloved playstation2 at launch, how much of those dvd roms failed. Both my cousins ps2 failed on him, I remember trying to play dragon ball z on his ps2 and he kept having to move the ps2 in different positions to get it to work properly. Well my xbox 1 never had that problem. And how much psp had dead pixels (me included) and sony screwed every1 over by saying tht there had to be more than 4 and in a particular area for them to fix it. Well microsoft no matter what sent the ups and replaced the system.

Ofcourse factor in the fact that when u look at the stat sheets the 360 gpu is faster then the ps3 gpu and dont have the ram bottleneck the ps3 has.. why would u pay more for a bluray player?? I play games not watch movies on my "GAME" console.

I know that the ps3 blu-ray player is gonna be crap just like the original ps2 dvd player. Just wait in a few years these next generation dvd formats are gonna be like 100 bucks and have way better performance then the one in the ps3. And does anyone know if HD-DVD supports 1080p or not

you don't have a 360 because if you did you would know that MS will replace it free of charge and they even pay for the shipping.

Most people say the 360s suck because they don't have one. They think the PS3 will blow it away. It won't The PS3 is good, but expensive. $800-$900 to make ONE PS3?!?!?!? Imagine the retail price. Sony won't take a $400-$500 on each console. Keep that faith get a 360. They will learn when they shell out $500+ for a PS3. Stick with the 360. March is coming soon and so are a lot of games both on Live and retail (Street Figter, GR:AW, Outfit, RRXX, BF2:MC, etc)
