My happy day with the 360

I went to my electrical store 2 days ago to get a new computer with my family , and i strode down to the games section to see if they had anything xbox 360 related ( i live in Australia) and i was this huge tv with perfect dark zero and i was thinking hey maybe they have a 360 and there it was behind the counter and i was so impressed with the graphics , and the man behind the counter said would u like to play it because u look so exited about it , i nearly fainted but it was great and the wireless controller is way better than the wired one , i loved it , we were walking out and one of the workers were helping us with our new computer and he said i should pre order the premium pack , and he said that it is way better value and i said i got to play the 360 in the games section and he said were u inpressed with it? i said hell yes and he said well they r only on standard def cords cause the hight def wouldnt work on the tv and i was amazed ,:eek: so i per ordered one so i am guaranteed one at launch woo -hoo , !:burnout:

what the games look like in hi-def.I don't have hi-def at home so after playing it on hi-def I won't even play the 360 on my crappy tv.I won't even buy any more games untill I can get a hi-def tv.I have lcd and compared to hi-def lcd sucks to.

Ive never heard of an LCD that doesnt handle high def.. you sure you have an LCD :questionm

He could have an LCD with 480p resolution, it technically is Hi-def, but very low end grade. Also known as Enhanced Definition. Just a guess.

I play mine on a standard TV and I love it, the graphics are better than the old xbox, not by leaps and bounds but it is better. I want a HD TV but Ill have to wait awhile.

are you a computer nerd? not saying that's a bad... after all someone has to make our games just wondering cuz they seem to buy a system just for GFX

yea... i got to play my 360 on my neighbor's HDTV and if you can afford to get one do it.... make it somewhat of a priority... not that high cuz it still looks awesome on SD but i'd look into it

I admit graphics arent the "most" important thing but it is important. Most people do look at that aspect of a game though. Even most reviews you read, what do they talk about first or spend the most time on, how the game looks.

graphics and gameplay are just two parts of a game that (hopefully) make it a good game, if any of the aspects of the game are espessially bad it can bring the whole game down. a beautiful looking game with lackluster gameplay isnt going to kepp ya coming back, all elements of the game need to be present no matter what any of you think, we all have our prefrences, i look for enticing gameplay before anything else, hell tetris can keep me entertained for hours and certainly does not win any medals for great graphics. so its just what you like and it will show in how you feel about the games that you play

I am amazed at the amount of misinformation about high definition and televisions goes around here.
LCD, Plasma, CRT, SED, are all examples of display technologies. These are not any indication of resolution at all.
HD, 720p, 1080i, ED are all example of resolutions and are independent of display technologies.

480p is NOT HD. It is ED (Extended or Enhanced Definition). This is better than 480i (SD - Standard Definition) but still does not compare well to HD. This technically is NOT HD. It is not low grade HD either but ED.

Now, many 42" and smaller plasma televisions are ED and some cheaper LCD displays are ED. These sets are usually cheaper than their HD counterparts of the same size. It is amazing hw many sales people at the mainstream electronic stores (Circuit City, Best Buy) still do not really understand these differences.

What display technology and resolutions is best is highly debatable so I won't go there

i cant say what is best, but i played on my neighbor's tv(i think it's CRT but not sure. it's not lcd or plasma cuz it's about a foot deep and bigger on the bottom) which handles 1080i and i was blown away

i played 1 my mate got sent ova from japen, he had to buy a power adapter and has to always get games sent in lol, hes got a few cores he orded in as well for around 600 if n e 1s interstead and lives in adelaide
