if you place your xbox 360 on its side wil its loading a game it will severely scrash the disc to crap it happened to me last night while it was oading PGR3 it told me that my dics was dirty or damaged so i took it out and there was a big circular scrash on it and now my PGR3 does not work anymore

You moved the unit while it was on and the disc was spinning? :flute:

you should read the instructions that came with it. or look at some forums before doing stuff like that. That was found out on the 23 of nov.

I admit it... I did the same thing, with PGR3 too no less. Scratched the sht out of it. I've always been a PC gamer and it never occured to me you can't move a drive while it's spinning [duh].
But I managed to fix my PGR3 disk. Use a soft cloth and some rubbing alcohol, don't be afraid to rub kinda hard and expect it to take a while to get all the big scratches off. You'll get some tiny scratches from the rubbing but it will work.

well if your a pc gammer than you should deff kno not to move anything with a cd spinning in it except for a cd player. would you rotate your PC while it was on?

Sorry to hear about your loss. Just an FYI - when you buy a game from Best BUy they give you an option for a $3 insurance that covers any type of disk damage including scratches. You might want to look into it! :albertein

yea i did the same with call of duty 2 :D because i just liked the light changing :P i just took mine back to walmart and got another copy....ah i love walmart for not looking at the bottom of games(at least most of the time).

no but that's exactly the point, i never had any reason to rotate my pc with a cd spinning in it.

try the rubbing alcohol before you pitch it, you got nothing to loose and i can pretty much garauntee it'll work cause it worked for me.

The Eb where i got DOA4 in NC does the same thing for $3. No other EB has asked me if I wanted it so I dont know if it was the one store or all of them do, they all should though. Its just $3 and they said if anything happens to it just bring it back and they will exchange it but its just for a year.

wow I no this has been covered but I cant even fathom y any one would move a 360 WHILE it's ON. Thats just inviting disaster to me

well i almost demonstrated it upright for a couple secs once but then i remembered.... and decided it wasn't worth it
