wot is on the hdd wen purchased????

i recieved my hdd today and noticed that i only had 13gig which i knew already but wot is puzzling me is wots on it to justify 7 gig as it only come with 12 songs loaded and hexic and bc files which cant come to that ammount is there something im missing or what ????????????

plus im having trouble getting xbox games working i got super monkey ball and crash nitro cart for my 4 year old son as they are on the b.c list and they both dont work (wtf microsoft) crash nitro cart is all like broken screens and locks up and monkey ball just locks up all the time can anyone help with this ????????????????

2 gb is for caching, there is about 2 gig of movies, 100 mb of music and hexic etc and the other stuff is emulators...
