Need help on COD 2

hey, I'm stuck on the begining of the D-day level on veteran. Right when u climb up the Rope on to the mountain, u walk in on a big battle. There are three paths that can be taken, using the trenches. Which 1 is the easiest to path to take. I was stuck on this for over and hour and a half.

That' where I am. Go on the left path 1st cause there are a few Gemans there. Take them out and take the middle path. Be careful cause they might be a German in a ditch as soon as you start the middle path. Use your rifle and take him out. There should be a powerful rifle on the ground (not a sniper rifle but at this point a sniper rifle wil not help.)Pick up the pewerful rifle (you will reconize it cause it will be one you have never seen b4). As soon as you turn left in the ditch,Stop. There will be a few Germans in a ditch. Use the new rifle and sneak up on them using the path wall for cover. Play peekaboo with them but watch out for granades they throw at you. As soon as you get rid of them, continue in the path but stop before the right turn cause there will be a German on a turret aimed at that direction. There will also be a German on turret in a bunker. Throw a couple of smoke granades at each turret and then make a run for it. That's as far as I gotten.

Ya when I do the smoke grenade thing and I follow my men into the crater afterwards when I leave the crater I get shot down. Did you try the path on the right yet. It goes through an underground tunnel.

I went on the right path and youll see a guy get blown up. 2 germans will come out of a underground bunker and thats where u want to go. after you kill the 2 germans throw a greade into the entrance of the bunker where more germans will come out. Go into the bunker then you will see the far end get blown up. Take a left and there will be more germans to kill. go through the hallway into an open room where more germans will come into via a door on the other side of the room and kill them. You could keep going through the door but theres no use, you can just exit the bunker through another door on your right. once you exit the bunker throw a few smoke grenades and start running. Theres a trench to jump over so be careful because if you fall inot it there will be germans and most likely you would get killed. All I can say is keep running after you jumped over the trench and meet up with your sgt.

I took the path on the right but when I killed all the Germans in there, I would come out and would get shot up. I'll try it with the smoke grenade and see what happens.

I'm almost on that level, again on veteran. I don't really remember.
