grr a misleading title. I wanted tips too :(
I have a tip for ya.............................play it more,
Try to stick to one car and get used to it, something thats super fast and can keep up with the others ie, ferrari enzo, ferrari f50 GT(I can't remember the other one at the moment). Get the cars and play one off them so much you get sick and your thumbs bleed.

A simple tip this one....use the fastest car in the specific class you are racing in. So for A its the F50 GT, for B the Enzo, etc.
Also the F50 does take alot of practise to find its limit without spinning around in a cloud of smoke. If you want ta gain valuable experience in the car, go around the nordshliefe, simply because of the undulations in the circuit it will give you a better understanding of how the car reacts at speed.

cool cool, hope you get it sorted out soon :)
I have always had a natural..well not exactly talent but a niche for the games. I was 3rd fastest in the world on forza motorsport in 1 day so I certainly know how to do them. The only thing I don't like about the game is the fact that you can't modify them, not in a customisation way I mean in terms of suspension set-up etc since I am an automotive engineer I can set them up almost perfectly which can take seconds off of lap times and its the main advantage I have in racing games.

simple and top tips from me applys to all racing games try to hit the apex of the turn spot on break before you turn without accelerating and accelerate out

Alot of real life driving techniques apply to this game. Braking is probably the most important key to driving really fast in this game. To some this won't make sense but applying the right amount brake before (or even through - called trail braking) a corner will mean the difference in the end. I always watch people lock up the brakes at the last minute and I will brake well before with half the pressure and carry into and out of the corner faster because I'm not upsetting the balance of the car and breaking the tires loose. This also help me pick a better line into the corner depending on what type it is: decreasing radius, increasing radius, etc. The same applies for acceleration. Never apply full throttle on any cars above Class D unless you are in the straightaway sections. The more powerful cars will almost always break traction under WOT (wide open throttle). Use linear pressure and gradually accelerate out of a corner and you'll see much better lap times and improved handling in almost every car. Practice both braking and acceleration (especially in the corners) and you can't go wrong.

I agree with this sumation of car physics on the whole but to be honest doesn't apply to the full with this particular game as a completely realistic car physics engine has not been implemented.
I have found that a much more "rally" style driving technique can be used to achieve faster lap times than the more traditional road circuit methods. So basically you can "throw" the cars into the corners more, ie braking and turning at the same time (to a larger extent than feint or trail braking) this I have found helps with the exit of the corners simply because these are real-world roads and were never intended to give a perfect racing line. Also if you let the car drift out more in the centre (apex) of a corner then sudenly apply full lock and plant the throttle you can achieve a excellent powerslide which can increase corner velocity (not possible in real world situations) and helps significantly with the exit speed of that corner.
This arcade technique is what you have to adopt if you want to get maximum out of a car on a particular circuit (maybe less so for the Nordschliefe), this has been reduced since the last incarnation of the Gotham series but is still no comparison to Forza Motorsport for which Zrolimits synopsis is applicable.

^^^Correct. I just wanted to set a basis for him so he could get a good feel for some of the faster cars (such as the F50GT) without constantly hitting the wall because of the inability to control throttle and braking. After that I'm sure he'll become more comfortable with throwing the cars into the corners to maximize his lap times. There are some tracks, though, like Nordschliefe (The Las Vegas track - Boulevard Straights) which it pays off to drive more conservative in the corners and all out on the straightaways. I think that "F1McLaren" has the #1 laptime for that track using the Koenigsegg w/a time of 1:56:00. I've tried it and the best time I can get is a 1:59:00 but he has total control over the car and does not powerslide at all. I can't figure out how he does it. Do you still play Forza any?

I occasionally play but TBH i stopped because I had no competition at all online. I got to 3rd overall in hotlap and just was a bit silly when racing online since, once i got in lead i would just disappear over the horizon (I could win a 3 lap race around Laguna seca by 30 seconds).
Whats your fastest time around Nurburgring F1 full on PGR3? Mine is 1 min 30.8 in the F50 GT, im in 50th place or so.
Is the guy that has number 1 spot called "Mclaren F1 GTR"? If so we always were at the same level on Forza but I got higher up than he did, whereas on PGR2 he was quite a bit faster than me.

Yea Mclaren F1 GTR is his name. that kid is crazy! hes only 14! Im not sure about my time in the Nurburgring F1 full track but im pretty good at lap times for Race Against the Clock. if you look on Buccaneer Loop in Las Vegas im in 9th place. Gamertag: x Carrera GT x
