nah, just go to toys r us to buy it. they never have lines or pre orders. I would never wait in line for a game, only to purchase it.

I didn't get Halo 2 till 2 months after it came out I was just not that interested, even though I was in love with the first one.
I have already preordered Halo 3 so just waiting for a release date then I will be set.

Why wait in line or reserve a gave? Games are mass produced so you can go anywhere and find it with no problem unlike console launches. It's a waste of time to camp out for a game or reserve one unless your getting something for free with reservation.

I dont see why people would stand in line for a week or days just for a game or movie and dress up like one of the characters, thats just weird. I guess its all in good fun though but Ill be waiting until I can find the game sitting on the shelf.

Don't worry, you'll be able to find the game on the shelf on the day it's released. No reserving & no camping out. It was the case for Halo 2 and we all know how highly anticipated that game was.

I did for Halo 2 but not going to for halo 3. Games do not sell out my cuzns picked it up later that same day and said they still had a lot in store. This was even after the massive line at best buy. But HALO3 is not coming out till 360 are drying up in stores because ppl (fanboys) are still waiting for there ps3's that is when HALO3 will strike and send 360 sales through the roof. MS doesnt even need HALO for 360 to suceed look how popular it is, Halo is their ace of spades that they will use wisely. MAybe a year or 2 after the launch of 360.

Halo 3 will release when it's ready. Not when the PS3 releases. Bill Gates retracted his previous statement about Halo 3 launching when the PS3 launches.

Whoever does wait a week in line for a game that's most likely going to be mediocre at best is pathetic.

Maybe the thread author should have started this post with a poll, that way we could determine more easily those willing to wait in line, and those whom do not.
Considering that fact that I have waited in line for lots of things, including Star Wars movies, I could do it for a game as well. Isn't that why we have Cell phones and portable gaming devises, for lines?
I remember star wars when some people camped out for like weeks before the movie came out in theaters. I bet someone will start a line somewere. Cause if they do then someone else is going to want to get in all the fun. there are alot of nerds in this world. if someone else does it then i will wait in line with them.

Uhm, what are you going to do when Halo 3 comes out? Obviously your name will be old school and you will have to amend it to reflect the newer game, lest you look like a n00b. Maybe you could be "IOwnU@AllHalogames"?

I would pre-order it only if it came with a free faceplate. If not then I'll just go to Comp-USA b/c basically no one goes there to buy games. If those 2 options fail then I'll find a random site that sells em.
waiting in line? hmm time for a life just wait a week afta it comes out

I don't wait in line for any game. I pre-ordered Halo 2 and went in the next day and picked it up. I drove by my local game store the night that Halo 2 was released and there was a big line to get it. One friend said that he waited for almost 6 hours. He was pissed when I told him that I walked in the next day and just picked it up.

You always say that I pretty much pre-order any game that will be hugely popular just to cover my bases. It is insurance for me that I get the game, and also I didn't pre-order GRAW but had hell of a time getting it only way I got is friends wife worked at KB-TOYS and I was able to get it. It don't cost nothing to reserve a game just $5 down that goes toward the price. I do agree with you about camping out I will never camp out or wait in a line for 30 mins or more.

The great thing bout Ireland is that there is hardly ever a shortage of games. Even with ones like halo you can walk in on launch day without a preorder and pick one up. sometimes its handy to live in a place with no gamers:smile:

wow u aparently are very serious about this. 1 week damn. i would never go past 3 hours of waiting. games dont run out and if they do like graw they will be available the next day. im preordering halo 3 so im good to go. im not wasting my life standing in line.

exactly... just preorder anything you THINK you want... the 5 dollars goes toward the price, and if you change your mind, you can get your 5 dollars back. I worked at Game Rush, and when we released halo two the line started 7 hours before midnight. Preorders got to go first in line, even if they got there at 11:59. Everyone else was a SUCKER! It's like going to Disney and not useing the fast passes!

waiting in line for a game = no life :congrats:
however, my town is small enough I dont have to wait in line. I can just drive to future shop in the morning, picker up, get my free hat or w/e and walk out. dont even need to preorder. how you like them apples.
