That isn't this consoles intended market. Now for kids The Revolution is the only console I can see that would suit them in the next-gen wars. Even Sony are maturing a bit when it comes to there titles.
The original Xbox never had a vaste array of younger audience orientated software and they have just continued this trend.

I want Mario party or something like that. Something that my non gamer friends came play. Maybe even fusion frenzy that was pretty fun.

microsoft has never focused on kids games and they never intend to it seems like. it would be cool though to have some games that even ur non gameer friends can just sit down and enjoy

Videogames are not intended for little kids. If you want a good game/console for kids, buy them a 64!

I remember reading somewhere that the averge game is between ages 17 and 24. If you want to strike hot in this market, you can't make many games out of this bracket, for much lack of interest.

yea, even alot of the gamers who are out of that bracket like the games geared towards people in that bracket

True that!! Thats why violent games get such a bad rap, cuz 5th graders are playing the Grand Theft Autos, thinking its cool to steal a car, shoot the owner, then run over his dead body.

I would never recommend giving a child video games, get them outside in the real world instead of in mythical fantasy lands etc. This is the main reason kids are getting fatter and fatter, THEY NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE!! As a child I was never inside (this was only 8-10 years ago so games were about) and it has done me a world of good, i dont watch TV, pretty much ever and only play video games because I am a gadget freak!!
So instead of buying a £300 video game system go and buy them a push or even motorbike and they will get a bigger thrill. Thats what my parents did for me since I was 5 and thats what I plan to do for my children when I finally have some (I'm only 18 so quite a while before I settle down, so many cars I want to buy first :P).
