i have a 360 but i can't play two games madden and need for speed because the xbox 360 system made a scratch that look like a ring a round the hole disc for madden a thick scratch and for need for speed a little but still a ring like around the edge. is there any way to take to take the scratchs out of the disc and also fixing the system. when i play madden i could play for 5 min fine and then a message comes up and said the disc is scratch try to clean it. and need for speed it just freezes after like 2 or 3 min.

You can't fix such deep scratches.. Did you move the system while the disc is spinning?

peanut butter or toothpaste work for me

toothpaste put it on thin and let it dry till it gets hard and brush it off it helps clean it. wouldnt recommend on a new game tho but for taking the scratches out of older games it works same goes for peanut butter

you know, the same thing happened to my friend's CoD disc...

so, he went out and got a disc repair kit--you know, one of those things that shave off a layer of your disc surface. i advised him not to use it, but he went ahead and did it anyway. after he took the disc out of this horrid device, it was covered in spiral looking etchings..ouch. the game was even worse after that. before, it would intermittently work, but after "fixing" it, the game would not even start at all. it totally screwed it up beyond belief.
then, he goes out and buys this disc repair compound which looks like some sort of paste. he covered the disc in this goop and just rubbed it in like crazy, like he waxing a car. (stupid thing to do)
after removing all the excess, he stuck the disc into his 360, and voila..it works! seriously, what the hell. i was really surprised that it worked. so, this repair compund might be the way to go, just be really careful anytime your messing with the surface of the disc.

Once they are scratched, there is not much that you can do. Where did you purchase these games from and how long ago?

Ive seen a few places online that will fix the disk, If Im not mistaken one of them is LLama but I could be wrong. Do a search, youll find something. I dont think it costs very much, even if it was $5 it would be better than buying a new game.
