Hey guys I'm about to get high speed internet with comcast. I wont to know XBL. All the good and the bad.

i have Comcast and have no problem with it...its pretty damn fast and gives u all u need when talking about online play(both PC and consol)..

PRO:
1. no need to take up a phone line
2. always there just click and its up. unlike dialup
2. very fast can get up to 6 megs of speed per second
3. comcast now comes with MacAfee security center free. This includes
• firewall
• virus scan
• privacy service
4. and has grate customer service


CONS:
1. its pretty pricy
2.if your computer is too old comcast wont work on your system and ull need to upgrade.


theres prob more cons but that all i cant think of at this time.

citizen X do you have any promblem with lag on xbox live like I have heard that the EA servers are awful.

its a must citzen x nailed it for all the cons and pros, but its worth it for online gaming. and all the demos you can eventually hopefully get before the games come out=)

I have been with comcast for over 2 years now with never a major problem. There customer service is fast, and 24 hrs over the phone. Not to mention, if you already have comcast cable, then you get a discount if you upgrade to internet sevice too.

Get cable instead of DSL. Your xbox/xbox360 will thank you. I have Road Runner and it's awsome.

Yeah i have Comcast cable TV as well and they do give u a nice discount. I say something on TV that said for the people that have both TV and Internet with Comcast they upgraded your connection speed for free. All I needed to do was unplug the modem from the power for about 10 seconds and plug it back in...i tested the speed before and after i refreshed my mode and say that i had 2.3 megs a second before and upgraded me up to 3.5 megs.. I know its not much but just to see a improvement that fast was nice..


and about the lagg..i do see it on halo but thats cuz the bad hostes. when i have my own party its pretty damn good..much better then DSL
