I dont think it will last long - Microsoft will just keep releasing updates over Live to combat in progress made.

hey its just news, Im not promoting it, like 360 updates said "when someone reports a murder on the radio, it isnt encourage other people to go out and kill" and im not encourage someone to go out and burn :p

MS i have a feeling is purposly gonna brick all the 360's that changed there firmwares to intimidate future hacks.

Playing backups isn't though. We all know the 360 likes to scratch some disks ;)

This is wrong, we all know people arent going to go through all the trouble to buy a hacked firmware dvd-rom to just backup the games they already have. Its just like going to the store and picking up a couple copies of a game and putting them in your pocket to give to your buddies. People think its cool to do stuff like this to impress their friends. In reality its the people who actually go out and purchase the games legally have to pay for it. It doesnt matter if youre not hurting anyone directly, its still illegal and wrong.

Its not illegal or wrong to backup products you have legally purchased. Dont tell me you never copied anything on VHS. Besides all these hacker people do is help microsoft understand their flaws and that way they can fix it. Companies pay these types of people to try to reverse engineer their stuff just to find flaws like this. Only in those cases they are either employees or contractors of the company so its not called hacking.

I dont care either way. I am going to buy everything and not steal it but I do wish I could have a backup of each of my games the same way I do my dvd's and old vhs tapes.
