Well guys... I finally did it. I was set out on a mission to play every single 360 launch and shortly after launch title that is currently out, and give a review on it. I would love to keep this list growing as more and more games come out. I played all the games for a minimum of 2 hours online, and min 2 hours offline, just to see both sides. I feel at least 2 hours is a good time to really formulate a good opinion on a game. You can't just put a game in, play just one match or level and say it sucks or is the best game ever, just off of that.

I based these reviews on MY fun factor only. Here, i am not taking into consideration: graphix, sound, gameplay, controls, etc. Just how much fun i had playing these games online, offline with friends, or offline by myself. I think this can be helpfull to anyone that has similiar tastes in games as me. This is on a 1-10 scale. 1 being horrible, 10 being absolutly perfect. So this is what I gathered from the last 5 months:

yeah they are coo, but i would not have given Far-cry and condemned a better offline score than GRAW...but thats just me

The reason i did this was because, I had a much easier time controlling my character in both Far Cry and Condemned. It was easy to navigate anywhere. GRAW was a great game off line. Very fun!! But many times i was annoyed with the controls. When zoomed in with the sniper, Mitchell moves the view sooooooo slow. You need to be slow in movements to fire a sniper rifle, not look around. I also frequently had problems "Sticking" to walls when i didn't want, that resulted in my immediate death. Grenades were hard to learn to throw. And i never quite got down, correctly ordering my guys around. Thats just why i gave those two games a better review. I like them all though.

And so was PDZ at launch, and look at what people think of it now. Personally i still think it is fun online.

Don't get me wrong, GRAW is a great game and will be for a long time as well.

PDZ was fun for like 2 days then it got old, it was way over-hyped but GRAW has lived up to its hype.

Nice going Molneze. I played everyone up there except.
Quake 4, Tony Hawk:AW, Blazzing Angels, Burnout: Revenge, Condemned,
Dynasty Warriros 5, Far Cry: I/P, Ridge Racer 6, Rumble Roses XX, The Outfit Tiger Woods '06, Top Spin 2.

Damn Oblivian is keeping me from these games. I found that Collage Hoops was the best "played/fun" game out of the Basketball ones. What you think?
I would disagree mostly with your DOA4 rating, but I am pretty much on same base with everything else. keep it up.

Yea, man...I also had to force myself to put Oblivion down, or i would never finish the rest of the games i have. Its hard. The College b-ball game was fun, but nothing new was brought to our screens. I'm sure a lot of people disagree with my DOA4 rating, but thats fine. I just don't like fighting games enough to play them over and over again. They said that game wouldn't be a "Button Mashers" game, but i think it was. I got beat online by more of those types of players that didn't even know what they were doing, then i should have. I just didn't have that much fun with it anymore.

Dude, i play all the time!! Gaming is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. Plus too, my wife also likes to watch me play, and she even likes to play some games too (refer my "wife in video games" thread). Although, not all the time. Sometimes she needs her t.v. time.

I just got done playing through Tomb Raider: Ledgends (3 times), and beat it all the way for the 1000 GPs. I gave it an 8. I thought it was very fun to play. Provided many hours of entertainment. Maybe not worth buying, since it only took me a little over 18 hours to play through those 3 times, but definatly a renter if you like those kind of adventure games.

Just got done playing through X-men, and added the mini review to the list. It only took me about 8 hours to get the full 1000 points. NOT A LONG GAME AT ALL. On easy, the average person could simply go through in a few hours. If you want all the achievement points the first time through, i suggest playing it on "Super Hero" difficulty. Its not too much harder. Frusterating at times, but do-able.

I gave it a 6 because it was so short, and at times Wolverine's parts got very repetative. I quickly learned that this was a "button masher" game!! Each level was unique, but somehow similar, if that makes any sence, and therefore no newer than the last challenges were present. The thing that did save this game from a humiliating release, was the fact that you can play 3 different characters in a paralleling story line. Each with a very different style of gameplay.

Well guys... Sorry this one took so long, i bought it the day it came out, but couldn't sit down and play it long enough to get a solid opinion on it.

I finally come to bring BATTLEFIED 2: MODERN COMBAT and 8.5 in both Online and Offline play.

Given, that i have not played the computer version, i think the one for 360 is great. Online is very fun and there is always a room available with a bunch of people in it. I really like how you can choose from different classes, that each have there own unique weapon sets. The thing that dropped the fun factor for me a little, is how easy it is to spawn camp with the helicopter, and how there is always at least one person in a match that tries it. The achievements are spread out enough to keep you going for them onlive and in the campaign.

The campaign missions are also very fun, and i love how you can take control of any of your living squad mates at any time, and use their weapon sets. It didn't get a 9 or higher though, since there wasn't really anything in the campaign that hasn't been done before. Modern shooters, you played one you played them all. But never the less, very entertaining.

Added MLB 2K6

Given, i do like to play baseball games on counsols, so i figured i might like this one. In which i do. I thought it was pretty fun. I love the swing stick, and the advanced play in game, is great. But, i felt that when fielding the players moved very realistically, a little too real. Too real for a video game. Many times trying to control them was frusterating, and that dragged the overall fun factor down a little. And to bring it down just a little more was the pitch control. I didn't like how jumpy the pitch positioner was. Don't get me wrong, i have seen worse in games, but i have also seen better. So it lost some points there.

And i felt that online was just a little better. Since there were my original gripeds that stoped it from being perfect, the ability to play against another human opponent over live softened the blow a little.

All in all, if i was more of a baseball fan, i would be satisfied with spending the $60 for this one brand new...except if i got one of the games with the "freezing" problem. Luckily, i didn't.

I wouldn't say there is anymore stratagy to Battlefield 2, than COD2, or GRAW. I think that Battlefield 2 is just a typical FPS.... a very well done FPS. The only stratagy involved online is planning out your route of attack on the huge maps, and how you are going to take over a stratigic point without getting killed. Not much thinking or planning involved in the campaign either. Pretty much just point and shoot!

If you are looking for strategy, go with the Outfit. I love that game, because you can either win or loose based on how you set up your defenses, plan your attack, or utilize your money right. Not so much thinking on the fly, but planning your attacks is a big part of that one. Think of Command and Conquer in the 3rd person view.

GRAW has a tiny tint of strategy involved too, just because you have to keep you team alive, and you have very limited life, but not much else than that.

I do believe you that the Outfit didn't get good reviews, cuz honestly it really isn't that good all around. The graphix are pretty choppy, vehical controls will drive you crazy, camera angles sometimes hurt more than help, and your teammates AI are sometimes just plain retarted!! But luckily some of those are so minor that you might not notice them, all the time at least. Even aside from all those, i think it is one of the funnest games to date.

I am also really looking forward to Battle For Middle Earth 2!! Finally an RTS on a counsol. Lets just hope it doesn't suck!!

The screenshots Ive seen in magazines look sweet. And the only worry is the control system really. EA has been working hard to get it right and from what Ive read in the latest reviews the controls are going to be very console user friendly. I really hope this game pulls it off and more RTS games are released as a result.
Its definately going to be released this month but not sure what date. Im guessing toward the end of the month.

Updated the list with Rockstar's Table Tennis, with a 7 offline and 6.5 online.

I gave it those scores, because coming from Rockstar, i expected a little more than just flashy graphix and playing table tennis. Sure it has that little training mode, and unlockables, but even Top Spin 2 had little mini games. If you buy table tennis, all your going to do is play table tennis. Don't get me wrong, good for if friends come over to play, but gets old fast by yourself. The controls are sometimes, sketchy, causing you to loose some points here and there, but oh well.

Online isn't any better, and adding to the bad things is the once in a while lag, which is horrible if it happens. Because unlike most other games, you can live with lag, but this one, if it lags at the right time, last you see, your ball is going toward your opponent, then lag, then the ball is right in front of you, without seeing what happened. You have no time to react at all. Very crappy. Other than that seems to be a good $40 spent.

Added Hitman: Bloodmoney to the list, with an even 8.

This was the first of the Hitman series i have ever played, so i can't compare it to the previous two.

I think this game is great, and will be playing it all the way through for the full 1000 GPs. It was a perfect release, with great timing. All these FPSs comming out, and sure TR:L was a slower paced 3rd person, but if you just wanna flat out kill Sh*t...this is the game for you. Much stratagy comes into play (on figuring how you want to kill sh*t), like should i strangle this Motha F***er with my fiber wire, should i plant a bomb on his chair, or just strait up mow everyone down with the standard issue MP-5?? Change costums into a Doctor, Lawyer, Garbage man, or Pizza Delivery guy. Whatever it takes to get closer to your target. Oh...by the way...Don't forget to dispose of the boddies!!

(oh yea (wispers)...this game is MATURE!!!)

O.k I agree with alot this reviewer has said as well. I just wanna throw in an opinion of my own, and it goes a little something like this:

Games I own :

Kameo 8/10 - very fun. good puzzles. beautiful graphics. massive battles a little UNinvolving, and some new charactes a little pointless and lack creativity.

ES: Oblivion: 9.5/10 - took me a while to grasp ill admit. now, it owns me.

Call Of Duty 2: 9/10 - as close to war as I want to get. very engrossing. great graphics, smoke grenades are a blast to throw around. only problem is the lack of enemy death animations. kinda fall awkwardly sometime, nothing big however.

G.R.A.W: 9/10 - great overall game. nice graphics. stupid A.I. some glitches.

Full Auto 8/10 - mindless fun. destructible everything. my kind of racer. (controls are buttery smooth.

Tomb Raider Legend 8/10 - complete overhaul on everything. not just a port. very nice looking. fun puzzles. combat still just jump, roll and shoot however.

Blazing Angel 7/10 - solid air combat. great multiplayer modes. voice casting very annoying very fast.

Condemned 9/10 - I had a great time with this one. very creepy. loved the story. amazing graphics. fun melee combat system. inverstigating underwhelming and not enough weapons to use.

D.O.A 4: 9/10 - great fighting game. Ive never like fighting games. not what im good at. this game makes anyone feel like they're good. nice graphics, character selection, and levels are well thought out. only beef is single player story too short, and not enough levels. halo character nice addition, and fits into game well.

Fight Night R3: 9/10 - amazing graphics. I was a champ at round 2, but always hated the haymaker system. R3 well balanced. more strategy. nice career mode. only beef is the sometimes goofy knockouts, and linear falls.

Perfect Dark Zero : 7.5/10 - Liked it alot. Graphics well done, weapon variety great. Realistic deaths (perfected the ragdoll effect). Some nice level designs. Multiplayer fun. Problems I had were the voice acting was stupid(although supposed to be stupid I think), some boring levels, and It got tedious after a while. Still a fun game though.

Games I've Rented/Sold :

Project Gotham 3 : 7/10 - Good graphics. Probably fun, but not my kind of racing game. Too sim based. Im not a huge racing fan, so I dont like to play for hours just to be able to finish a race without crashing. Racing fans will love this game however.

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis : 5/10 - I hated this game. Just didnt get it. Its not that its a terrible game for what it is, its just that what it is, is table tennis. Didnt like the controls, the lack of modes, and lack of variety overall. Not for me.

NBA 06 : 5/10 - Bought and sold this game in a 2 hour span. Graphics sucked. Nothing new here. Boring menu screens. Nothing next gen about it. Probably still a fun basketball game if you overlook the negatives.

Hitman Blood Money : 9/10 - I really enjoyed this game. Doesnt feel like a port. Graphics are amazing at times (veins on peoples arms, and just attention to detail are well done). Levels are all very fun to play through, and to think of creative ways to make hit. Many people on screen at some times (you have to see mardi gras level to understand how this is next gen). Loved it.

Rumble Roses XX : 7/10 - not as bad as some say. graphics are very nice. actual wrestling is pretty fun. easy controls for an easy wrestling game. not very smooth animations however, and does seem a little basic for a next gen game. renter, not a buyer.

Hope these reviews helped with a different opinion.

FIFA '06 World Cup...

I think it is a great!! Not taking in consideration that it is very, very similiar to the alread out FIFA '06. It is awesome that they released a "Celebration" like game for the current, real world, World Cup. And in that sence, can be considered a completley different game. If i had the choice between these two games, i would go with this one (FIFA '06 World Cup), and well worth the $60 to buy if you like soccer, and don't already have the previous one.

One major difference i noticed, is the default camera seems quite a bit further back, so you see more of the field, but your players are smaller. One more difference, the addition of game senarios. So you can pick up in matches that already went down in history. I have always liked those.

Online was pretty cool too, where again pretty much the same as in FIFA '06. Not much new there either.
All in all, i thought it was a pretty good game!

Over G Fighters:

Ace Combat mixed with Microsoft's Flight Simulator anyone???
Its sad...that many people will hate this game right off the bat, just because it is to complicated for them. Cuz simply thats what it will boil down to. Because of great semi-realistic jet fighter games like Ace Combats or Squad of WWII, this one might stay in the shadows. It doesn't take a special kind of person to realize that it is not possible for one F-16A, or a Joint Strike Fighter, to take out between 10-20 enemy air combatants, with one payload full of AMRAMS and Sidewinders. Then go drop clusters and 500lb dimes on baddie tanks and buildings, all on one tank of gas, by yourself. Thats where Ace Combat fans will want to pass on this one. Cuz the missions are much more realistic, by shooting down as low as one bad MIG, or only dropping two bombs in a whole level. Like real world air strikes. They even have a reconissance mission where you fly over a certain path for 15 in game minutes, only to drop one bomb at the end, but you are in a F-117!!
You deal with real world things in this game. Think you can bank your jet, chasing an opponent or running from a SAM, at over 6 G's?? Wrong, Not without your pilot blacking out, which does happen. By the way, pick your pilot good, cuz you have 5 to choose from all with different skills. Not good at determining which missile can chase air opponents and which ones are used for ships and tanks?? Pass on this then, cuz before each mission you choose your weaponry payload, and also your gas. Think an extra 75 gallon gas tank strapped to the bottom of your F-2 will help you last through the mission longer?? Try out running a MAC 3 missle, with all that extra weight...Not fun!!
Graphics arn't killer, but the cuz scenes are sweet. Story line is pretty unique, and you can choose your path of missions to accept wich is kinda cool.

Online 8
Offline 8.5

Don't hate this game cuz you rented it and it owned you!!!
This is the realist Jet Fighter "sim" out there.
If realworld dogfights were as easy as "Ace Combat", you might as well nickname all of us "Maverick"!! Move over Tom Cruise!!

Just added Moto GP '06

Great racing game, and very fun...untill you are going for Legend!! AHhhhh...Frusterating. Anyway...if you can put up with the hard controls at first until you learn them, and start building up your stats and getting better bikes...it really is a good game. Very fun to navigate around courses at that speed. Except for the computer always wiping you out, in the harder divisions. And the fact that every race in the circut is the same set of courses for rookie, pro, and so on. GP is the only one that is different. The challenges can be difficult without a built up player or bike.

Online is pretty good too, with a few different racing types. But my experiences weren't the best, with many people playing that didn't know what they were doing, or didn't care to knock you off your bike. Ranked matches were hard for me to find, even during peak hours, which was odd.

All in all, a good buy for biking or racing fans.
