Ok guys and girls heres the deal i have heard alot of debate over if u can get on xbox live with a 56k internet i was doubtful my self so i was playing around with my 360 and i was able to sign up to xbox live with a 56k now heres the fun part here is how u do it

Ok first off u need a network card in your pc second off you need the ethernet cable that most people should have if you got the bundle with the hardrive if not you can pick one up at your local pc shop now once you have all this stuff your ready to get started. Now connect your 360 to your tv and turn on everything connect your 360 to your computer using the ethernet cable once done go into your network settings and allow your network to sure your internet once done try connecting to xbox live if it fails there should be something that comes up that allows u to test your network connection just see what failed in the tests and go from there if you need any help PM me on rvd_stone_cold@hotmail.com hope this helps some people

What would be the point? Every game would lag. It takes long enough to download demos with broadband, and oh yes you could see who was online on your friends list, but with 56k my bet is you won't have many friends on it.

If you really really want to do this..... get a switch and a LAN modem. Easiest way.

people with 56k modems should get into this centry and buy broadband. Because its people with slow ass connections that makes our kbox live games laggy.

Stop being a cheap ass and get broadband. DSL is cheap as dial up (or close to being cheap as dail up). Stop living in a cave and catch up with modern times.

honestly if I was facing someone over live and I found out they were using a 56K modem I would pimp slap them over live and then goto avoid player.

yeah 56k just plain blows for gaming and surfing anyway, it's prolly fine if ur just checkin email, but otherwise it ain't even worth it, and even then, u might as well just goto the library and use their puters.

ya why would u even try to play with that slow stuff. get DSL or CABLE. ive played COD2 online and the host of a game was usin that crap and every1 got pi$$ed at him cuz it kept sayin "Finding connection)
