Mlb 2k6

Has anyone else had any problems playing MLB 2K6. I got to about the Bottom of the 5th and it froze on me. I had about 3 of the achievments too. I turned off the 360 and turned it back on and started playing the next game and it froze again. This is the only game I have had a problem with the other games where fine.

If MLB2K6 is the only game you're having problems with... perhaps it's the disk. I would exchange it for another one. At least you'd rule it out at that point. :wink:

I hasnt frozen on me but it has some bad glitches. At one point I did the runner view when on first and stole second while the pitcher had the ball and he never moved. Then I went to the batter view and he would never pitch it. I put in a pinch hitter and pressed every button. It was just stuck. I tried to steal third but the announcer just kept saying"hes off to second" "he's stealing second". I was already on second. I had to turn it off. This is the dumbest baseball game ever btw and I want to get rid of it already and I never do that sort of thing. It just SUCKS!

I been seeing alot of problem with this game, even on other forums they are saying it freezes up and has alot of glitches.

i just started up this game and i has froozen twice, both in the second inning... this has never happened with my 360 and i've played tons of games... must be a bad disc or bad game..lol - lucky it's a gamefly disc..

I was looking forward to this game for a long time. The supposed "screen shots" that we've been seeing are by no means the game play represented in the actual game. The graphics are terrible! 2K5 has better graphics than this!!! I thought I was the victim of some cruel test disc error mode. Sadly, what I saw was the actual product. This is a HUGE HUGE disappointment. I was looking forward to a quality baseball game on the next-gen level. What did we get? A brutal, brutal sham of a marketing ploy. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

On another note: what is the return policy of EB Games?

2KSports is fully aware of the situation for all MLB 2K6 owners are having the same problem and they are working on it as we speak. Some options for now is stand your 360 up vertically and/or format your HDD but whatever you want to keep, save it to a MU.

I hate this game so much and Im so disapointed that I feel compelled to say how much I hate this game. I hate hate hate it. The pitching is slow with no snap. The graphics are garbage. The controls are garbage. Everything about this is crap. Argh!

My copy of 2K6 just got promptly brought back to EB and I exchanged it for the new Tomb Raider. Take that 2k SPORTS, you bastards!

The return policy for EB Games is you can return the game within the first 14 days as long as you have the recipt(sp). Make sure you tell them that the game is defective and you just want your money back. DO NOT TELL THEM YOU DID NOT LIKE IT. I work at EB part time. The return policy does not cover a game you just did not like to play. They will only give you trade in value if you tell them that. Make sure you tell them the game is DEFECTIVE.

I got my copy from GameStop which is now of course the same as EB essentially and I tried to do just what you said yesterday and they refused to give me a different game. They were more then willing to exchange it for another MLB2k6 but not a different title under any circumstance. They said I could take it up with the developer.

They just kept quoting the bottom of the reciept and I kept telling them that it was defective and I dont want another defective game. After several try's I even pulled out some forum printouts of people saying it makes there xbox freeze and the published IGN article. To no availe. They said it is definately a developer issue.

im glad im not the only one on this, i had an ok time playing it online, but i cant play a real game without it freezing!! STOP PUTTING OUT CRAP and waiting to patch it up. I realize with PCs every system is different so that might happen but everyone has the same system with an xbox, learn how to code 2k6!

You guys do know that a patch came out right? The wait time and freezing is gone. If your box still freezes...well thats you I guess.

I froze like evry 5 seconds and gave up one day after my game froze 7 times. Now I fly through the lobbies and have completed about 15 games.

The real problem is that the game sucks and isnt nearly as good as older games on last gen systems. Its crazy how much worse it is then MVP of old.

Sorry to bash it but with my experience with 2K sports games I hate all of them except NHL 2K6 which isn't as good as EA sports series.

I'll stick with ESPN's 2K sports series ever since NFL 2K5. For me, hands down the best football game i have ever played. For that matter, best sports game i have ever played. I bought both that and Madden '05 when they came out together. Brought Madden back that week.

Even though they may be lacking with there games now, i have faith they will put a masterpiece together.

I just cant understand why not. If I want to bash it then that is what I am going to do. I didnt say that nobody likes it. I gave my opinion on it. I would hope that others will say what they think. If you dont like a game please by all means say it LOUD AND CLEAR. That way I will know to only rent it first. If it is your world only people that have good things to say will speak and nobody will realize that others, maybe even the majority think it stinks.

I thought that was what these forums were for. To express opinions. The only thing I didnt do is give a good detailed account about what I didnt like about it. Perhaps I should have. But for those of you out there looking for this game, let it be known I think it is a failure and proceed with caution. I might save someone some money.

I agree, 2k5 football was way better then Madden. I dont stand by any particular game maker. I just stick by the games. I just dont like these exclusice deals because it tends to ruin these games. I wish the espn 2k thing could have continued. I do think EA makes a better baseball game though. And I do still love Madden, but I made the switch with that 2k5 game. Had been supporting madden since like 97 too.

What are you talking about, no patch has been released. I played it again last night and i didnt get an update and it still froze, so i played on live and it didnt freeze. Show me where it says they released a patch for it yet!:argh:

Normally you would be right, but 2ksports bought the rights to MLB like EA did with football and Madden, now only 2ksports can make baseball games.

Now the only MLB game out there for the 360 until next year doesnt even work for most people. They released a patch yesterday for it and that still didnt fix the problem. I wouldnt mind if i could go somewhere else but how do you own the rights to a game and not even get it right?:hmmmm:
