this is the mission where you look for the dissapearing members in swampy cave, ive killed all the trolls and it tells me to search for evidence of the missing members. theres the green arrow in the southern tip of swampy cave but theres nothing there that provides evidence of anything there. any help would be much appreciated. please help

Find body of Eduard Denile. when you find the body your journal get's updated and you're then told to kill the trolls.

Chuck, I have this problem too. The guide says find the body of Eduard Denile but he just isn'y in the cave. The map marker points to the very south of the cave but all thats there is a few dead zombies and skellys.

Please can someone help with this as its stopping me from continuing in the Fighters Guild.

Search harder. All the missing people lies in a big pile all togheter, some skeletons, some dead people that the trolls haven't decided to eat yet.

I'm on PC and get the same thing. I've spent several hours scouring the caves, examined every skeleton / zombie on the ground, and still nothing.

The green arrow points to an area where there are 2 skeletons and 2 zombies in a pile... i'm assuming that this pile should include Eduard Denile, but i sure don't see him.

I am the Arch-Mage... can anyone confirm that you can hold the highest rank in both the fighter's AND mage's guild? Also, is it possible that i accidentally killed this guy early on in the game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've included an aerial view of the green marker spot and what i see... hope it can help.

activ8, strange, I found the body right by the skeletons. And yes, I have the highest rank in the Fighters Guild and the Mages Guild at the same time.

i'm not sure whether this is just co-incidence, but i am also the Arch-Mage. Could this be a glitch if you are already arch-mage? I'm sure i haven't already killed this character, mainly cause i haven't killed anyone. Loading previous saves doesn't help either. Is there any possible way to continue within the Fighters Guild without completing this mission?

You are supposed to find the body of Eduard Denile in the southern tip of the Swampy Cave section (where all the skeletons are). Unfortunately his body doesn't appear for many people.

Reportedly you can prevent the bug by going to that part first before clearing out all the trolls. You should then find his body and get the appropriate journal entry. You might try this if you have a prior save.

NOTE: If this doesn't work, you still should be able to continue with your advancement in the Fighters Guild by talking to Oreyn in his home.

Activ8, I have done what you stated above but even if i run straight past all the trolls straight to the location he still isn't there. I can confirm that by talking to Oreyn you can still continue the fighters guild quests however i do not know whether you can become the highest rank within the guild. I'll post it up when i have done the Blackwood quest.

The last thing I did om the quest was killing all the trolls. I just ran I found the body, then killed the trolls.

You Can Still Complete The Fighters Giuld But U Cant Get The Champion Achievment ( If Your Trying To Get The Achievments ) Theres Got To Be A Glitch, I Am However Relieved To Find Im Not The Only One Having This Problem, Talk To Oryn At His House To Complete The Fighters Guild. And Forget About That Damn Swampy Cave

all i did in the cave is walk through it and when i entered the room where all the bodies were it automaticly updated my journal with haveing to find a body then all i had to do was finish clearing out the trolls in the cave.

hello,im having the same problem,thinks its because we visited the cave and cleared it out PRIOR to the fighters guild quest,but on a diffrent note,ive been through this cave so many times im getting diffrent treasures each time did anyone get the GREAVES OF EVERLASTING? from the swampy cave?????
