Should I buy pdz? I am used to games like COD 2 and Battlefield 2 and racing games but i have heard that some people have problems with the transition from COD 2 to PDZ. Is it slow?
All perspectives will be allowed If you trash It I won't buy it.
Also is it a renter or a buyer?
Me personally i didnt like it, i thought the multiplayer was kinda slow and stiff. maybe thats because i been playing Halo 2 for so long. as far as the single play, it was ok. voice acting was horrible and the way they tried to make the game more "POP" just didnt work well for me.

Is it kinda to futuristic that it's stupid?
No its more corney than anything else. you have a spy that dresses like she is at the club and then you have cheesy dialog, bad voice acting and horrible rag doll physics.

The single player was horrible and didnt live up to the first Perfect Dark. The voice acting sounded like little children recorded it and it was way overhyped, especially by gamespot (received a 9.3). The graphics are debateable. Some of the textures were amazingly detailed but other things such as vehicles looked like they were toy figurines or were made of paper and pasted in the background. The multiplayer was fun for a few weeks but there wasn't enough people playing so thats why i traded my copy in at EB. I guess its worth a rent if u played the first Perfect Dark on N64

I never played the original perfect dark on N64 as I am of the PS1 border PS2 era
I would recommend you wait for them to put the demo on XBLM, try it and then if you like it just buy it.

Like Halo isn't futuristic??????
Definatly rent the game if anything. I personally love it, online at least. But so may people bash it here. There are still tons of people that play it online. You won't have trouble finding matches.:fight:

One thing people never say in PD0 favour, and for me it's the best multiplayer game on the 360, is the netcode is rock solid. GRAW, BF2, COD2 in comparison is laggy and inconsistent. Believe me 32 players online is done almost effortlessly in PD0. Now why don't the other developers pay Rare to do their netcode because the other games seem worse than their xbox 1 counterparts.
I wanted PDZ purely for its multiplayer. I hated the single player, but I expected it to. But the online was a huge disappointment. The controls are sluggish and the pace is too slow for what should be an arcade shooter.
I dont know how the original was (never owned a 64), but if it was as good as people stated it was (multiplayer), then PDZ takes the cake on disappointing sequels.

No. Don't even say you want it. PDZ deserves to be recycled into a real Perfect ADark game or a Real Rare FPS. I wasted money on that game. Save your money for something else worth while.

From what I saw the graphics looked beautiful. The second mission in the nightclub looked stunning. But the gun sounds? A rubberband whizzing in the air is louder than the guns in Perfect Dark Zero. Quite disappointing.

One of my friends happened to play PDZ. He said it was okay, but got boring. He mentioned that it is closely related to Halo in gameplay and setting. I have another friend who said it plain sucked and the guns sound bad... I don't know if I should buy it myself, I mean, I am a definite sucker for shooters, but if they are too short or too simple, then I am out.

Its great, but i guess it depends on your taste- the single players good and the live plays ok

Ugh what a downer this game was. The SP was crap. The story was a joke and so were the missions and its objectives. The multiplayer is fun but gets old. Some of the weapons are kind of cool, but the game is seriously missing some things. Overall its just not what you'd expect from the guys that brought us Perfect Dark and Goldeneye.

Say what you want but PDZ has the best xbox live infastruture. It is as solid as it gets. Little to no lag, even if the host quits you can still play and the game instantly switches to a new host. Also lets say you have 3 people on your xbox 360 playing on xbox live and now a friend comes over and want to play they can instantly become the 4th player without you quiting. Every game should be like this.

PDZ was a good game...at first. Then it just got boring and didnt keep my attention. Some people love it though and play it religiously, I know my cousin and his friends love it. The single player is average at best and the multiplayer has a really good setup as Shotty said but it also gets old and boring IMO. Other games could learn a few things from its online setup.

PDZ is an aquired taste. The graphics and sound are good. With the new maps multiplayer now has enough variety. The thing that divides most people, I think, is the way it controls. It's a lot harder to control than most FPS, especially when people get close up, also another thing that turns people off is you need to be good at headshots otherwise it takes a lot of shots to kill another player (multiplayer). It is a good game if you adapt to the games controls and mindset but it plays and handles differently from most console FPS. This would be an excellent game to play with a mouse and keyboard but if you spend time learning the way the game handles you'll like it. How patient are you? Because the learning curve online is quite steep.

its easy. you just have to know the maps. if you are good at Halo 2 your good at pdz, that simple.

It is easy but i hardley ever play it. It takes forver to get into a live game
I think this game is great for the entertainment it brings me.
I haven't even played through the first mission, i don't think anyone who bought this game bought it for the single player. PDZ's AI is uncany, the dark agents are beyond good. I mean really, this is a major adtantage it has on halo, I don't need to wait on people to come over or sign into xbox live to get some practice in. the bots are better than most people on live anyways.
I owned the original PD and that's why i bought this one, i like how they brought the original weapons back.
This game is worth buying. Most fun i had since i bought the original halo.
Played that game at my buddy's house not to impressive.
i wouldnt buy it i played on it for 2 weeks on and off from a friend , it is getting real old now the game , easy achievments though

who ever told you that is seriously wrong this game is definatly a buyer
and is easy to transfer from cod 2

The single player of PDZ, while fun at first, becomes very disappointing. From bad missions, to a terrible storyline, the single player is horrible disappointing. The bots are very retarded(on your side anyway), and some of them are so annoying and ugly like Jonathan. The multiplayer is loads of fun and to this day PDZ is what I play the most because of it. There are infinite game modes, and great maps besides Trench. This is a must buy for it's great MP.
