when microsoft made the anouncement about the two prices $299.99 & $399.99. I called my gamestop to ask if u have a perorder already what is the story on the packages, do i tell you witch package i want. They answerd they did not hear anything about the prices. Is that just my gamestop or is it all gamestops. Also how does it work about witch package to pick. If anybody know let me know about how it works. thanks

It is a little triky to pre-order online, mostly going to high street stores you can put down a deposit to preorder, but just remember to imply which package u want, but i think they will have enuf of both come release

My local Gamestop doesn't have a clue.

No one there knows anything about the prices, and some of them still refer to the Xbox 360 as the Xbox 2.

But, for some reason they know the release date, Nov. 15th.

yeah eb did the same thing. Anywho who preordered they automatically have listed for the 399 package unless you specify to change it. Preordered mine ages ago and was able to with just 20 bucks down. They later raised it to 50. I dont really trust online ordering for preorders. As its kinda hit or miss on weather you'll really get it launch day. I'm first at my EB so I'm guaranteed one which is a nice relief

yea i pre-ordered mine and they were assuming that i was getting the 399 but asked me anyway. what sucks is i'm on the second shipment; but, they said that since microsoft is producing them well that the second shipment may come with the first(launch day w00t) if not then it will be within 2 weeks of launch.

I put $400 down in may cause thats what I thought it would cost. I called GS when I heard about the 2 SKU's and they said the same as u guys. I told them I wanted the premium pack, now all I have to do is come up with the tax(which will be my XBOX1) and money for 4 games.
1)Oblivion
2)Need for speed: Most Wanted
3)PGR3
4)PDO

There are two versions of Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Premium or Xbox 360 Core System, read more on which each has and doesn't have in one of the topics here or Gamestop's site. I'm sure the clerk was talking about the Xbox 360 Core System and doesn't know about the two versions.

no he knew what he was talking about he had said that thats ridiculous that they have two different versions of the xbox360 that the only ones that their gonna be selling is the ones with the hard drive cuz that no one would want an xbox360 without a hard drive...

now i work in a gamestop store in ct.. we r taking 50 dollars down towards the system and there r 2 bundles in stores and there r like 4 i think on the gamestop website you should check out the bundles online before going to store yay there more money but you get all the stuff!!!!!!!!!

Who would be able to enjoy like 8 games right off the bat? The $800 value bundle sounds pretty bad to me - let me spend $550 and just get 1 or 2 games - I don't need 4-10 games right off the bat.

And a 1-year replacement plan? The thing better not wear out in under a year!

Yes plus I like to choose the games myself. Don't get me wrong got some great games in the packages but a few not to my likeing. So i would just as I am doing now getting just the premium edition and buy 2 games at launch.

So, if you buy from Gamestop, are you forced to buy a stupid "bundle" or can you just buy the premium system?

Rubiks14

when i ordered mine i could just order the premium(because the bundles weren't out) but you should still be able to now i just think you either have to go to the store or order from somewhere like bestbuy or walmart(online or at store).

EDIT: well for some reason you can't order on walmart or bestbuy online anymore but i could have sworn that you could at one time
