Ever since GDC, Nintendo has been saying the Revolution's controller has a second secret (http://cnet.com.au/games/0,39029232,40058822,00.htm)
Now AMN (Advanced Media Network) is reporting that developers close to Nintendo have confirmed what the second secret is. The controller's nunchaku controller will be gyroscopic, sensing left, right, up, and down (this is different from the 'revmote' which senses all these directions as well as depth and fluid motions). (http://revolution.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=6601)
Even though AMN have always been reputable and accurate in my experience, I take this information with a small grain of salt because the news seems a bit too pre-mature to be for-sure confirmed.

Awesome find. I was about to post this info on April 24, but it wasn't there. Pfft, so much for my "reliable source".

This was never really a secret though. I don't think the developers were under NDA to keep this away from the public. I personally believe it's just one of many functions.
I'd say there's more of a chance of system's secret being Force Feedback or feedback of some sort, as indicated from this:
Nintendo of Canada confirms force feedback

Canadian internet radio station Radio-Talbot recently spoke with Nintendo of Canada's Director of Marketing Pierre-Paul Trepanier in an interview centered around the Revolution. Two major points, force feedback and how the system will be able to measure the movement of the remote, were discussed.
In response to the query of force feedback being a possibility with the remote, Pierre said "Yes there's feedback in it even though it is wireless, we will show more at E3. Before in our wireless controllers, we didn't put feedback because of battery life problems but now we have found a way to do it without lowering the battery life of the remote."

It's the smaller add-on. The one with the analog stick on it.
