MLB 2k6 Fix out by the end of the day!

2K Sports has finalized a solution that solves the conflict found with the Xbox 360 HDD that some consumers may experience playing Major League Baseball 2K6. A Title Update has been has been created to work around this issue and will be passing through certification very soon. 2K Sports anticipates the Title Update to be available via Xbox Live by the end of the day, April 26th.

In order to receive the Title Update online you will need to connect your Xbox 360 up to a network connection. A Title Update will be available on Xbox Live free via the Xbox 360 Live Silver service that comes with every Xbox 360. You are not required to have an Xbox Live Gold account to download this Title Update. Once you are connected to Xbox Live, you will just need to insert your Major League Baseball 2K6 game into your Xbox 360 console and a prompt will come up regarding an update available for this game. You can then select “Yes, update now” and the Title Update will be applied to your console.

Finally. Even though I don't own the game (I don't buy sports video games), that is a good sign because that means the patch for Oblivion is coming very soon.

yeah i have the game and it freezes on me every time i try to play against the computer or someone else on the same console. It only works on live right now which is a pain in the ASS! But finally the patch will be out by today (hopefully).

Meh, not really into sports games so I didn't buy it. Anyways, that sucks bigtime, i hate when things like that happen.

I can confirm that it asked me to update when I played the game last night so I did. Unfortunately it still doesnt work. It freezed around the 6th inning. It seems random but Id say that is average.

I am also really mad. I bought this game on launch and not only is it a poor game, in my opinion but I havent even made it through a full game. Thats a long time to literally have a broken game.

Someone said that it works on live though, but I dont play sports on live much and wanted to get good at it before I did try on live.

Remember the days when games didnt need patches? They were quality tested before release. I didnt play this game, but it sounds more and more like the industry is trying to put crap on a spoon and force it down our throats.

hey hey hey fellas easy.....i thought this game was awesome i mean how many sports games do you know that i have realisms like fans going for foul balls...so i like the game...

but to the topic...what kind of prob was going cause i bought the game when it launched and it never froz on me or anything , maybe once if any. But i did notice the automatic patch download when i recently played the game.

And sorry Chuck about the games needing patches and your thinking of the old days....but think of the quality of the games now rather then back then when they finally do get it right....im sure if you go to a yard sale or flea market you might be able to buy a nitendo or gensis....just kiddin man
