I've have my xbox360 hooked up to my panasonic 47" hdtv. The tv supports 1080i which it is currently set to. For some reason whenever I power on my 360 I get lines that appear across my screen. They are continously rolling from the bottom of my screen to the top and are quite annoying. Does anyone know what could cause this? They do not appear when I'm watching regular cable. Only when the system is powered on. If anyone has any ideas of how to fix I would appreciate it.

Check the component cable plug going into the 360. It might not be plugged in all the way.
BTW, let me be the 1st to say welcome to the planet xbox360 forums. Enjoy your stay here.

Did you flick the switch on the component cable to HD?

Good point. It could be that. Hopefully that's what the problem is for her/him.

I checked the cables and they are secure. Also, cables switch is set to HD and I still have the same problem.

Hmm, Did you goto your system settings screen on your 360 and set it to 1080i? Are the cables connected into the correct slots? Are your TV settings all correct?

I checked the setting on the tv and they are all good. Checked the settings on the 360 dashboard. Ok there. All wires are connected securely.

Sounds like a problem with refresh rate. Check to see if you can change the television's refresh rate. I don't have HD-TV yet, but had the same problems with computer monitors (which are essentially HD-TVs in terms of resolution).
