Mountain Dew (trying to be the gamer's choice for thirst) and Yahoo have teamed up with a radical promotion; one winner will be chosen every 10 minutes for 9 straight weeks starting August 28th. You will have to enter specialy marked codes under Mountain Dew and other Pepsi products at the site, Every 10 Minutes (http://every10minutes.com). With this you can choose to put any amount of caps in a particular drawing to increase your chances of winning. These codes will also be added up for points which you can use to buy merchandise and gear.

“The launch of the Xbox 360 is the most anticipated event that will happen in gaming this year,” said Dave Burwick, senior vice president and CMO, Pepsi-Cola North America.

144 drawings daily, which equals 9072 drawings in all of the contest. And if the Xbox 360 is going to giveaway the Xbox 360 Core System, it will cost Mountain Dew and Yahoo $2,721,600. But if they do the Xbox 360 Premium it will cost them $3,628,800.

Yeah, I didn't even know about this contest before I saw this post, so I'm going to enter and now your chance of winning is lower.

The winner gets the Premium 360. If you read the rules it says the prize is valued at US$580 and you get the 360 as well as some Mtn. Dew hats and t-shirts and you also get coupons for two free 12 packs of Mtn. Dew.

If you visit the site there is now an option to get a starter code. What you need to do is downlaod the new Mountain Dew IMV from Yahoo! Messenger. Click (http://messenger.yahoo.com/singleimv.php?imv=mountaindew). Don't send it in till August 28th though. ;)

Official Rules (http://advision.webevents.yahoo.com/scp/viewer/index.php?client_id=740&event_id=15635)
OPEN AND OFFERED ONLY TO LEGAL U.S. RESIDENTS RESIDING IN ONE OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA THROUGHOUT THE PROMOTION PERIOD. SUBJECT TO AND GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK AND THE UNITED STATES. VOID WHEREVER PROHIBITED BY LAW.
If someone does fall in this category or other restrictions that keep you from entering this contest, which I do know some of you do (which is unfair), I would greatly appreciate it if you donated your starter codes to me via PM or Email (Citruso@hotmail.com). For any one who does, or if more than one person does and I win said contest I would draw from my hat (with only donators and giveaway the 30-day Gold Membership). Also I will make a signature (graphic at the bottom of every post you make here or at other community boards) for everyone that sends in one (when you send in the code tell me what you want in it).

Cheers to everyone. :)

If you read the rest of the rules youd know you cant do that ;)

YAHOO! ACCOUNT HOLDER IDENTITY:
Each valid Code submitted into an Account will be associated with "points" in the name of the holder of the Yahoo! ID used at the time of Code submission. In the event of dispute regarding the identity of the holder of the Yahoo! ID, dispute will be resolved in favor of the individual who is both the authorized holder of the Yahoo! ID and password associated with the Account (based upon information submitted at the time the Account was created or updated upon registration for this Promotion) and, if available, the "authorized e-mail account holder" of the "alternate e-mail address" provided when the Yahoo! ID was created. "Authorized e-mail account holder" is defined as the natural person assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (i.e., business, education institution) responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. If there is a discrepancy between the name of the person listed as the "authorized holder of the Yahoo! ID" and the "authorized e-mail account holder" of the alternate e-mail address provided when the Yahoo! ID was created, that Yahoo! ID will be disqualified and prize and/or points will be forfeited. Potential prize winner or participant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized Account holder as described above.

Nuke2 I don't think that specific rule deals with what I was talking about. Though after reading all the rules I found one that deals with what I am talking about.

10. CODES, POINTS AND ACCOUNTS:
D. NO TRANSFER: Codes, points and Accounts cannot be sold, traded, bartered, assigned or transferred to or shared with a third party or auctioned through an online auction site or otherwise. Points, once redeemed for merchandise or used for entry, cannot be refunded, transferred or re-used.

I still stand by what I posted previously.
