what are your favorite multimedia features for the 360?

mine's the idea that you can streamline all your music on your pc to your xbox, plus you can hook up your iPod!

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere the PS3 will be able to do that sort of thing as well. Or at least it wouldnt surprise me.

yes, the 360 was in concept/development when the first xbox came out. there's so much to like about the system, from the ring of light to features to the hardware and the lineup. the controller even turns the sucker on and off for you so you don't have to get off your lazy butt! lol!

The PS3 may be the best console internally but the xbox 360 is the best overall. for instance the PS3 may be more powerful and have more features but that's gonna bring their price up atleast $200 compared to microsoft, which has quite a few feautures but just enough to keep it a game system not a damn super computer like the PS3: Bluetooth, Blue Ray, Online browsing, 2 TFLPS and possibly USB capability. And who is going to by a 4-500 dollar console at launch? Unless you are a celebrity, a rich person, a scientist, or you're just overly obsesses with videogames the PS3 is not for you. I'm talking you are spending atleast 5-600 dollars on everything: The 4 OR 500 dollar console, an extra controller for a friend, 1 or 2 of the $70 games (blue ray doesn't come cheap), and a few accesories like a DVD remote and a few VGA cables about 650 to 700 dollars. With that kind of money you're better of buying an xbox 360 some accesories and a load of games. Just to make a long story short don't get the PS3 ;)

look, gaming consoles aren't meant to surf the net. the ps3 isn't a gaming console anymore and sony doesn't even care about the software anymore. name some quality new titles, ones that noone's ever heard of for the ps3.

all they're into is making the transition from a console to a computer, while losing the gaming aspect.

so if you want a computer that can't do all the stuff a pc can and is lacking in quality 1st party titles, go ahead. get the ps3.

i'm getting a gaming console. one that's built for gaming, designed to the core to support us, the consumer, and the developers. i'm getting the cheaper one, the better gaming one, i'm getting the xbox360.

it isn't just crap. it replaces the whole "expansion pack" crap and it connects millions of gamers together in a multitude of ways.

i.e. killing eachother, coop, chatting, sharing, i heard that you can swap music, it's just much more than crap.

Ummm I browse the internet with my xbox (1)... Just a simple download with a lil mod.

I'm pretty sure 360 will have browser support quickly kinda like the PSP.

Every online console can do this so it is nothing special.

But to blow you out of the water even more you need an intenet connection and where do yuo find these? In PC's where you can surf the intetnet and download movies etc. So its nothing special more like a gimick I would rather surf the interweb on a machine desinged to do it (i.e. a PC, Laptop or PDA) rather than have it unable to display things like animated sigs etc and resizing website, plus whats the point of downloading something on the PS3 there is no hardrive unless you like paying lots of money on Memeory cards to save the stuff you have downloaded.

Anywho this isn't a PS3 vs Xbox 360 thread nor is it that kind of website so lets leave that to the Gamespot and the Ign forums shall we?

My favourite feature is the abaility to pause games in real time and then play music off your MP3 players or watch a movie on the Hard Drive well actaully my favorite thing is the dash board it is soo well designed or the new marketplace, ahh sod it I love it all.

PS this is not a flaming more of a persuasive arguement to the fan boy

PPS one comment shouldn't stop you from buying a 360 if you let that affect you, you didn't really want one in the first place.

You will be able to play/stream MPEG and WMV, but the developers said that the 360 will not support Divx/Xvid. But I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm sure we'll figure out a way to watch divx/xvids on the 360 - maybe a little modding!? :D

Let me put is this way... all the media and entertainment features that PS3 is capable of doing, the Xbox 360 can do as well, PLUS like dozens more! The PS3 Lacks quality and entertainment features and is mostly based around just power. But that power is a little lackluster compared to the Xbox 360 power. So the PS3 can't do anything compared to Xbox 360.
