View Full Version : Playlists (other than WMP)
Is there any other program I can use aside from the craptacular Windows Media Player to make playlists that would show up on the 360? I cannot stand WMP. I am a big iTunes user, but hear the Playlists you make on iTunes do not work on the 360.

you can make playlists in windows media player that are not WMP, you use the saveas function and you can make it an m3u or pretty much anything else.
Correct, the playlists used in itunes are combined into one xml file that can only be read by itunes. Itunes however can import from other playlists into theirs.
If you have playlists in itunes that you want to play on your 360 i recommend you open itunes, click on the playlist so it lists all the songs, highlight them, then drag it over to windows media player playlist maker side, and save the playlist as a m3u. Thats what i do.

I would say that you're out of luck because Im guessing since MS makes WMP then thats probably the only program that you can use. Just try to uninstall WMP then install the newest version which is 10.0. Thats my only advice, hope it helps.
Thats what I dont get - there is no way to uninstall WMP. I tried going to Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs), and heck even searched the Hard Drive and the WINDOWS folder.
Can winamp make them in the rigth format? I've not tried, might be worth doing so though.
