Red Ring of Death!

Has anyone hear of this? Its a red ring aroung the circle you see when a controller is acquired to be on. Well, I was playing CoD2 then joined my friends game then it froze when I just came then I saw it...........Red Ring of Death! I'm gonna let my dad know. Did anybody have this problem before?

Hey, I got new 360! Go Best Buy! They had 4 360s left to sell, 3 coresand a premium. She took out th 360 from the premium and took out the HD. Well, it was weird cause after, I left Halo in my disc tray and my dad got mad so we went all the way back to BB and they took it out. So weird.

I left mine on one night and in the morning the ring was red. I turned it off and started it back up. That was more then a month ago and has been fine since. Mine is from launch and out of warrenty so Im just hoping for the best.

The red rings can come from a lot of different things. Connection errors, power cable not plugged in all the way. Like I said many different things can cause it. I have had mine since launch night and have not gotten any problems or red lights(knock on wood).

How can you tell what is and what isn't annoying people, that is just an ignorant comment. It does annoy other members, because as soon as you are proven wrong or something you said isn't going your way, you just reply; "I don't care!". It is very immature, and please stop it.

I am not mocking you, or teasing. I am just trying to help you stop annoying members, even if it is a sub-conscious reaction and don't know what you are doing.

As for the topic of this thread, what pattern of red-lights did you get? This determines the fault, whether it be hardware or just overheating. If it is all 4, non pulsing it could have simply been the A/V cable in the back had disconnected. But you got a new one, so it is irrelevant now anyway.
