I've been thinking of buying this tv (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4810694) from Wal-Mart in the next two months. The only problem is it doesn't support a native 720p resolution.

I plan on getting at least a 42" TV at some point later, 12-24 months, but you never know what is going to happen between now and then.

I still also will need to get a new speaker setup, plus I'm moving shortly and that costs quite a bit. So I wasn't wanting to spend more than $500 on a nice size T.V. for the living room for the time being.

Any other suggestions? 30" is about as small as I want to go because it will also be the TV for the living room.

Well, 1080i would still be good. But for gaming 720p is the best. There are very few CRT's that support 720p, and even with that problem the CRT produces the best picture. If you want 720p you could either get an expensive CRT or go for a cheaper LCD, but with reduction in picture quality.

You will not be disappointed with 1080i, thats for sure!
