I'm in the market for another TV and I'm in the $1000 price range. I have been considering the Samsung 30in CRT TV/HDTV SlimFit Widescreen TV model TXS3082WH that I can get for roughly $800 but it doesn't do 720p...only 1080i. Does this look like it would be ok? I was also tossing around the idea of a 51" projection HDTV that supports 1080i as well (since prices on these have fallen), but I've heard they're more likely to experience burn in. I'm obviously looking for size vs quality vs price in a widescreen HDTV. Any advice?

Go with the Samsung. You can trust the bran, at a great price. Man, that's a deal. I'm looking that TV up.

Yep, always go with quality over size.

Yeah, I'm kinda partial to the Samsung myself. I've seen it at Sears and Circuit City where I live, Both places had it for about $750 to $799 and it really looks good next to some of the others on display. Thanks for the input! I'll try to attach a link......

If you are only going with a 30" then you should try and swing this.

Its the newer model of the samsung tvs they have on the 360 kiosks in circuit city/best buy etc. It sucks that the new models just came out because a couple months ago this tv was only $800. I have the 37" version and it's frickin awesome.

That one does look nice. I'll have to see if they have it on display for comparison, but I do like the Samsung brand.
