Don't know about anyone else but it seems whenever I play this game at least six out of the eight people playing are using sniper rifles. I for one find this DULL and before you start I can use a sniper rifle. So after hearing about other people doing it me and some like minded individuals decided to give a no sniper rifles game ago (as you can't restrict weapons this is purely a gentlemans agreement). Well four hours later we're still playing laughing like idiots and getting full use out of the maps (moscow is a scream). Various people came in and most stayed for as long as they could. As another positive you get an awful lot better with ironsight weapons making sniper like shots with a bolt action rifle using ironsights is a hell of a feeling.

In short try it you might like it!

Agreed there are way too many snipers, i also can use the weapon...try Vossenack without snipers....great game. Better yet try, Vossenack with only pistols and grenades....its a funny funny time...ironsight weapons seem to be an extremely hard weapon to use...but i am on everyday at various times...you seem like a cool "bloke" as you guys call them...so send me a friend request or just an invite.

i also agree , i am a culprit sumtimes to using the sniper rifle but only if everyone else is..

I use to use sniper rifles alot! but I havn't used them in a while! now I use the none scoped rifles! a lot easier! cause you can use em close range also!

I too played games with no sniper rifles and it was awesome we played for 4 hrs with same people everyone loved it. I do think they should come out with a patch were you can restrict weapons in games and/or limit the number of sniper rifles allowed.

i cant even remember how many games that started out fun turned into cheap scope fights with no one moving cause their to afraid of their own shadows and the only accurate example of sniper in cod2 is a virus, cause as soon as one does it, slowly everyone becomes a sniper
but the snipers do have their useful moments, i just with they didnt make the snipers so easy to use

Ya i agree the snipers are ruining this game. Most matches consist of either snipers that sit in one place killing everyone or idiots running around with shotgun getting cheap kills. The only time i use a sniper rifle is if I pick it up off a dead body and even then i only use it if I am getting destroyed by other snipers. I suppose the only thing to do is join a clan or something and organise no sniper matches.

I have an Ironic plan of how to deal with snipers, Im going round them all up and kill them using a sniper rifle!:y:

They ruin COD and most games, takes 0 skill and is usually losers who cant play the game and deserved to be beaten with blunt hammers till they bleed to death ARGHHHHH just thinking about them pisses me off.

Also if i host or any friends host, snipers and shotguns are NO-NO

ya i use to use sniper rifles when it first came out but now i moslty just use the thompson or a m1 grande(think thats what it's called)
