Group Memberships?

Well, this question was in another thread, long, long ago. But no one had the courage to open this thread in the right section, until today. So Matt, I'm asking, what is Group memberships on this site? And why can't we use it?

Its a membership that is started up by a group hense the name group membership. If it was a possy of cows it would be a cow membership. Bunch of liars, well then you got sony.

Like in many IM that have been messege, I still think "WTF" is Group Memberships.

Well, when you go to any profile, for example, mine, in the lower right corner of the page it will say "Group Memberships", and also "Don_Rico is not a member of any public groups".

o yea, i always wondered that, i just forgot about it cuz its been a while since i first noticed. now i just ignore it. matt can u clear this up for us?

I looked at this a while ago and it doesn't have any valuable application for our forums. It's just a feature of the forum software that we don't need.
