xbox won't read

xbox 360 will not read games or dvds,no error lights every thing seems all right except for reading cds any ideas anybody :questionm

Call Microsoft and see what they have to say. They will have you try somethings to see if it can be fixed by you. It is worth a call IMO.

i had somewhat the same prob. It only happens with pdz though. I put it in and a multi language white screen comes up saying, to play this disc put it in a xbox 360 console, duh der der.:goodnight

I had the same problem with my last 360 but it would only happen with NFS. The disk is in excellent condition though and plays fine when I tried it on my brothers 360, go figure. I would call MS if I were you.

I've gotten that message a couple times too, and still don't understand it. I mean, how else would you access that message if not by putting the disc in your 360?

I get that message too. Especially if I've been playing for a while then I turn it off and start playing again soon. It's an issue with the DVD drive. It's trying to read the game disc as a DVD movie. I think game discs are read inside to outside and DVD movies are read outside to inside. Or the opposite, I'm not sure. If the problem gets worse I'm sending it in for repair.
