now i have heard that its not coming out until late 2006, but i think its time to start talking about.Now, i have barely seen any pics of halo 3, so please tell me where i can find pics.i have also heard that the halo makers are looking for a producer right now to make a movie about it from halo to halo 5.i hope thats true......

From my knowledge there are no official Halo 3 pictures yet. I'm sure your've heard that (according to Bill Gates) it will be released at the same time as the PS3 to compete with sony, which is mid 2006.

As for movies from halo though to halo 5...? There will only be 3 Halo games, as they come from the Halo novels (unless more script is written on at the end). It is possible that Alex Garland drags on the story for 5 movies, but highly unlikely.

Absolutley no information about Halo 3 has been shown or released yet. All we know is it is in developement and that it will release the same time the PS3 launches.

The flamethrower Master Chief may of been a screen shot from the pc version of Halo, as it got a few extra features that weren't included in the Xbox verion of Halo, namely, six new multiplayer maps (bringing the total to 19), a new vehicle and a couple of new weapons, including a flamethrower

The only thing we have on Halo 3 is the TIME magazine article with Bill Gates stating that it will be released at the same time as the PS3. We have nothing, absolutely nothing beyond that. Now, when the richest man in the world says something like that, my default reaction is "It'll be done, he said so." But Bungie hasn't confirmed nor even mentioned a Halo 3.

Now for captian obvious: Halo 3 is inevitable. If you played the SP campaign, the cliff-hanger ending is a definite indicator of a sequel. No doubt about it. But at this rate, I would prefer that Bungie keep everything quite until maybe 3-6 months before launch (which is kinda tough to do as the release date is dependent upon Sony). I say that because the hype fiesta we went through the last 2 years with Halo 2. I would rather they just say, "Okay, Halo 3 is '#' months from launch, this is what you can expect because NOTHING is going to be cut from final production!" Then let it live up to all the hype.

I guess we'll see, though.

it's going to be tight production but since they already have the story line and they don't have to recreate the graphics engine, it should be coming out Q3 2006.

also, the halo movie, if they're smart, will cover the first game. that leaves the option of sequels or the creation of a trilogy.

yeah MS want to steal some PS3 launch sales by releasing one of the biggest selling games this generation at the same time. Quite an impressive marketing move to be honest. Can you imagine what it would do to console sales if not only they release Halo 3 the same time as the PS3, but also announced an Xbox 360 console price drop at the same time

Halo 3 will be great and all. But think of the first halo game when it first came out at the beginning of the consul’s life span, we all thought that was the best graphics in the world at the time. Then came Halo 2, and the graphical improvements were breathtaking, and know I can’t stand halo 1.

That’s what halo 3 is going to be like at the time the graphics will blow our minds. And then 3 years later, after the last halo, some other games will take the spot, maybe not in game play, but in graphics.

That’s how the game industry evolves. When the consuls first com out, the developers are learning how to push it to its full potential. And in the end of its live span, may even past its expected limits.

U saw what happened with halo 1, and that what’s going too happened with halo 2 and 3.

The one thing I’m worried about is the amount of players per map. On 16, there’s always lag. I don’t won’t to think how 50 players is going be like…..yeah I just did:(

well, i'm not the kind of guy that is blown away by graphics, i'm the kind of guy that likes no glitches, fast load times, and good A.I.

with possabilities that there will be bots on multiplayer, they better be just as good as a human, smart enough to know when to hide, but not so smart that they are unstoppable. and, i hope that there is new weapons, and hopefully a human version of the banshee, but i don't work at bungie, so i guess i'll just have to settle.

POPO... you're just wrong. Bill Gates is not in charge with Xbox 360. J Allard and Robbie Bach are the leaders in the project. I have videos of them interviewing both of them and there was a question about Halo 3 and J Allard and Robbie Bach stated that they want to give Bungie all the time they need. J Allard and Robbie did mention that Halo 3 may release near the PS3 launch. They want to release Halo 3 near PS3 lauch so it can compete with PS3.

The funny thing is, Microsoft is making a "Video Game" compete with a "Game Console", now for Microsoft is isn't a fair battle but hey, MS put themselves in that position. The thing is, if a "Game"! wins the money of people instead of a PS3 Console, then that's just sad for Sony.

Nobody knows when Halo 3 will be released, so how do you know that those that think it will be out late 2006/2007 are wrong? Microsoft don't want to release Halo 3 at the same time as the 360, because that would involve rushing Bungie and resulting in a crap title. They do, however, want to launch it in time for the PS3's launch to compete with it.
