Does anyone else try to use their iPod with their XBox 360? I have tried on several occasions, and every time I do some of the songs will play and some of the songs won't. It's odd...they're on the iPod, but when I go to play them the visualization will come up on the screen but there will be the international no (like the no smoking sign) sign next to the song title and it won't play. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

after reading that it looks like you cant play protected (bought) music from your ipod. LOL.. looks like another reason why people download music illegaly

Man, that sucks! There's a note on the website that says: "At this time you cannot play music downloadable from the iTunes music store." How lame is that?! iPod=iTunes...lame!

ltrey its because music from itunes is protected, and it would cost MS a lot of money to be able to play the music legaly.

That's why when I buy digital music, I end up having 2 copies of the same thing! I burn the music to a CD-RW in audio CD format, and then I rip the music off it into MP3 format. It's all legal and good! I can do what I want with the music then, I have the original copy still, so everyone is happy! I have a HUGE HDD for storage (320 GB total), and music in general doesnt take up much room anyway.

Ya download the ipod patch off xbox live but you can't play itunes songs because Apple's being a baby and won't let anyone play their songs. Microsoft tried as much as they can with the iPod connecting with the xbox 360 without getting sued. MS said in an interview that Apple refused to cooperate so Microsoft went their ways and did it themselves. I don't get why apple wouldn't do it since it would boast iPod sales and even more it would boast iTunes sales. 1 million people but an xbox 360 every month thats 1 million more possible itunes users that will be more inclined to use itunes if they knew the music they bought would work on the xbox 360. Oh well what to do I guess we just have to wait for microsoft to release their music player and download service to get full compatibility. Imagine buying music and videos off xbox live on your xbox 360 and transferring to your Music player (most likely it would have to be Play For Sure compatible). All that without ever touching a computer.

Shotty i don't think it's that Apple won't cooperate, its that MS won't pay the massive amount of money Apple wants for the ability to legally decode DRM encrypted media.

I would just create a mp3 cd and upload your songs onto the 360 hard drive. But then again, that just me.
