I am confused about what bandwidth is used for. I have read that 360 has a crap load of bandwidth. What does this mean for the performance? Does this increase the performance? What does it do? I have always wondered about this.

bandwidth is like how much internet connection you have. if you have dsl you can play 360 online, but u cant be on a downloading program like limewire, but u could go on firefox, or an IM service

It basically the speed of data. If you are talking about internet then the higher the better.

I work for an internet cable company. Bandwidth is a selection of the frequency spectrum needed to transmit pictures, sound or both, or how much data you can send through a connection. Usually measured in bits-per-second. A full page of English text is about 16,000 bits. A fast modem can move about 15,000 bits in one second. Full-motion full-screen video would require roughly 10,000,000 bits-per-second, depending on compression.
(Could it be any simpler?)

"bandwidth is like how much internet connection you have" Thats funny, but true in a way. Samething as saying "Country is like how much people you have" I'm just joking

thanks for the information. What is the difference inthe bandwidth for the 360 and PS3? Is there a difference? If there is a difference, what does that mean?
