For the longest i have been agonizing over getting a 360. There really isn't alot of games out, its kinda pricey, and there is that ring of death thing every other person seems to get. So i made a choice.

The other day i bought a used Xbox, all the hookups, Halo, and Doom 3 for 94 dollars after a couple trade ins. Now i get to play 100% of the Xbox games, get out much cheaper, and have something to tide me over until they fix the bugs in the system and lower the price!!

Which games would you guys recommend that i must play? Ive got a few in mind, but all suggestions are welcome.

Oh yeah, its pretty embarrassing that it took me, someone who considers himself an avid gamer, this long to get an Xbox. But ill make up for it by making the 360 the first system i get the next generation!

Halo 1 and 2 are a must. If you like Star Wars, I would really recommend Knight of the Old Rupublic 1 & 2. Morrowind was good if you are an RPG fan. Black is really good if you like FPS. Those are a few, but there are many many more.

Softmod your xbox to XBMC, you won't regret it.

If you had the money you should have got the 360 but the xbox is still pretty godd :). You should get some type of softmod that adds media center and other apps if you want.

I had the money, but didn't really need to spend that much at the time. Plus questions about backwards compatibility are no longer an issue, even when i do decide to get a 360.

I think Halo 2 and Ninja Gaiden Black are gonna be my next two games, but Kotor is one ive been wanting to play for ever.

Ninja Gaiden Black and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory are musts... their the best games besides the Halo's that I have played on the Xbox...

I would have just went ahead and got the 360. I haven't had any problems at all with mine since I got it *knock on wood* and the "red ring of death" I've only gotten the all 4 one which is the AV not plugged in lol. Its def. worth the money, its hours on hours of fun and there are a lot of good game titles coming out this year so the game choice will expand soon.

Any of the Splinter Cell games are certainly worth a try. Maybe Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and/or Hitman: Contracts if you're a fan of the series.
