8 Bit music program?

Hey guys, I was wondering if you knew about some program where you can mix your own 8 Bit music. I recently got intrested in making my own 8 Bit music, from the beginning I absolutely hated 8 Bit, but I discovered that you can make some pretty nice beats with it. And I don't really feel like modding one of my old Gameboys and hook it up to my compy and all that crap. So you know any good progs?
