not unless it's specifically compatible with the usb port itself, and i can't think of any harddrives that are compatible with usb.

Like papa said if it works on a USB 2.0 connection then it should work, there is no reason why it shouldn’t

M$ said that the USB ports are 2.0 read only... So you can hook one up it'll grab the media from it that is compatible with it. But you won't be able to save data on it.
