Hi All,

I'm buying this HDTV.

I found a used one for $500....this TV sold for $3,000 new, so it's a deal no matter how you cut it. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has a rear projection HDTV, and how games look on it/them.

I have a 57" Toshiba 57H94 model HDTV with Integrated Tuner. The only drawbacks to a projection is that they are BIG so you gotta have the room, and they are not nearly as bright as a plasma tv. Other than that I LOVE my tv, it is crystal clear I get compliments on how crystal clear my tv is from friends that have DLP's and LCD's. That and for $500 I don't see how you could pass it up!

Yeah, you got a big one dude!! The one I'm getting is only a 40"...so it will be good for my mid sized living room. Thanks for the info!!

I have a 57" Hitachi which are suuposed to be real good. It is about 2 years old now. I think that it is a little faded in the color. The detail isnt nearly as sharp as when I play on my 32" LCD. That being said, until I got my LCD I thought it looked awsome. I love the size. You do have to watch for burn in but I think you would have to forget it on for a very long time. You should love your new tv.

I only bought the LCD so I could use it to double as a cpu monitor and a 360 player so that my girl cant steal the tv from me for less important things like reality tv shows. That way we both get to do what we want at the same time.

i have that 57inch hitatchi as well... its absolutely brilliant. I guess your bulbs are getting old, because i had to turn the brightness on mine way down because it was killing me. then again, its still a new set. I have it in a medium sized living room, cornered, and it is perfect. the smaller room makes it look that much bigger..
i never understood why people get such big sets and then back away 20 feet.. you end up feeling like your looking at the same size screen as before.. get up close to it!!! it plays in 1080i, its only gonna look better closer!! :)
