Many have said that having a HDTV makes a big difference when playing Xbox 360, so now i really want to buy one, not only for the xbox 360, but for the upcoming HD DVD.

For does who know a little on tv's, is this tv " Samsung LN-R238W" good for the Xbox 360?

That basically the official TV of the xbox 360. All or atleast almost all xbox 360 kiosk have this TV to display the games.

I don't have an HD TV to play on, but all and all it is working out just great.
The only poblem is that a few certian more recent games *Cough* Deadrising *Cough* Chrome Hounds *cough* are making text that is not only really freaking tiny, but is blury becasue I don;t have HD.

So video games if you are out there listening, Make the dang letters bigger!

It is true thet the Samsung HD-TVs are the "official" tvs to play the xbox360, but that's only because of a partnership between MS and Samsung...

That absolutely does not mean that you HAVE to have a samsung TV to get the best from the 360... A lot of other tv manufacturers have great tv sets to offer (I'm not going to name any here), and sometimes cheaper and better ... So you're not obligated to get a Samsung...

Go check out different products at your local tv store to get an idea... Don't rush into your purchase cause it's an expensive one...

Just a little tip: make sure the tv you wanna buy is future-proof, i.e have as many connections as you can. because later, you might want to plug in other devices, which will need an HDMI interface for instance....

I like Samsungs. Buy the Sony bravia are great.

These are the New Samsung Models I like:

Samsung LN-S3251D, LN-S3252D, LN-S4051D, LN-S4052D, LN-S4092D and
LN-S4095D (1080p).

These are the ones I really like and got my attention. The one that I want is the LN-S4092D.

Basically, you can't go wrong with a Samsung LCD....I wouldn't buy a 1080p set, as it would look horrible with the 360 (720p scaled) and they are over-priced. It's up to you what size you want but personally I wouldn't go over 32inches.

i have the same thing that ScotRacer has Samsung LCD and i love it me and my friend compaired it to the Kisosk TVS and NO DIFFRENCE the LCD tv is good if you know what your doing... if you set the resulution right ect it looks a hell of alot better plus if cost less the only thing extra is you have to buy the VGA cable and thats only 39.99 american so look into that and dont waste your MONEY.!!!
