Does anyone know where I can pre-order an xBox 360 and if there are any places even taking orders? Also, how much do you think it will cost to preorder an xBox?
Thanks,
Chris

EBGames and Amazon are taking them AFAIK. Maybe some other stores in the USA as well.
I'm in New Zealand, and we haven't heard anything yet (which is to be expected)

yeah any of those, lots of places online are taking them. However be aware this late in the game it'll be harder to guarantee one on launch day. I got lucky enough that the local eb let us sign up before they even had preorders. So they called me and I was 1st to preorder which was nice. And they informed me the store would only get 20 consoles on launch day. So I was guaranteed one but anyone after 20 would be on a callback waiting list :\ maybe microsoft can surprise everyone and get enough systems out for the majority of those wanting it, that'd be a change for a console launch lol
im going to order at what ever place opens up for a midnight release

I keep checking the three game stores in town and none at the moment are taking pre-orders. It's quite funny because in one shop I go in, if the staff see me mooching about they'll come up to me and say "we're still not taking preorders for the 360".
I also intend to be at a 12am shop opening at the day of launch in the U.K.

ha ha :P Joke
I had mine on pre order in the UK now for well over a month. £100 deposit and a further £156 saves so that takes my total to £256 :P ;) :hahaha: :elefant:

Well, EB Games has a limit to make sure they don't over-order. GameStop, well, I hate them, they took out Funcoland, charge more for games, and give less for games. Plus, they are just adding to the list of pre-orders so you have no guarantee you will get it on release day. To my knowledge, all pre-orders need a $50 (USD) down payment.
I got a reserve at EB Game currently at $100
Ever since Halo 2 didn't sell out anywhere in my area, I don't preorder a damn thing. I went into GameStop to get my copy on the late night of November 9th, and the guy opens a drawer full of them. Madden is the only game that has ever sold out to my knowledge.

Gamestop just bought out EBgames, effective like August 17th or so.....

For general information Gamestop and EBGames merged and GameStop has majority control of the business now. As an early post stated it will be difficult to pre-order a 360 and get it on launch day. I have had mine reserved and paid in full for about a month at GameStop. They are having a midnight release party, which means I will be calling in sick the next day at work.

How can you have something paid-in-full if you don't know the price?

Well finally my local Gamestation are taking preorders on the 360, and I have mine on order now :thrasher:
Speaking to the guys at the store they said the price is looking to be in the region of £300, but are hoping that a deal can be struck with either the European supplier or MS to bring it down to £250 at launch :top: They also mentioned games should be in the region of £40 with GS probably selling them at around £37.99.
Of course these prices are still not fixed and are just what the store manager is been fed by head office etc. nothing is confirmed until MS start confirming prices :)
