Dead rising demo

Hi all!

Are you thinking the same thing as me about the dead rising demo. I know it's already out in china and we are not allowed to cheat this but i was wondering if anyone had news about what would the demo contain.

Timed demo or area restricted
Use of all the weapons of that are or just samples

Let me know what you think

there's a dead rising demo? I find it hard to believe. After all the fake threads created on Gamefaqs about the demo released I dont even care anymore. Tuesday isnt far away anyways..

I just cant wait to play the most satisfyingly violent game to hit next gen consoles though.. I need zombie blood now

well I was sorta hoping it would be here before tomorrow but I don't think that is gonna happen! was hoping it would be here so I could download it over night because my thing downloads so slow! well I guess I have nothing to do at my sisters house for the weekend! they don't even have internet :( and they have a like 36 inch or something wide screen hd tv and they also have a 16 inch tv! guess which one I get to play on? you know how hard it is to play on a 16 inch tv? especially with the words on games and how small they are! ~~sighs~~ well I guess I can wait till tuesday!

just a thought people... Enola Bomber and I have been trying to play games online together right now. We've tried to start matches for an hour in FNR3, COD2, and DOA4 and it just wont let us connect to each other's game sessions. We cant come up with a solution and I am lead to believe that Live is buggy tonight because a Dead Rising demo will be placed on the marketplace soon!?? *gasp*

oh fine then! I just got post 300! lol! an achievement for each of us! I'm playing a couple GBA roms I downloaded on the computer so it dosn't really hurt me to check for demos and stuff every half hour! plus when i stay up all night I get so tired which means I should sleep through the trip! which is good cause my younger sister usually sits in the back with me! and if you have ever played any games with me you would know how much of a ***** my sister is cause she always makes comments in the background or flips out when it's "her" turn on the tv and I am in the middle of a battle!

I've been reading the Gamefaqs forums and basically ten plus people stated they sent emails today to Capcom asking when the demo will be out and the automated response was somethign similar to "Thank you for contacting Capcom. The demo for Dead Rising will be released in a few weeks. Thank You".

Awesome demo. The graphics surprised me, much better then I expected. So much detail in everything. The cut-scenes are really cinematic and make you want to see what happens next. Sound is good, while hitting people with different guitars you get different sounds. The overall presentation and feel is maybe the best I've seen on the 360 so far. Controls are also good, except for shooting and stuff which I founnd slightly awkward but nothing practice won't overcome.

One gripe, V-sync rears its ugly head in the opening cut-scene quite badly, but this seems all too common now.

Well done Capcom, (and I've only played the demo) you can feel the love they have for this game. Loaded with detail and now a must-buy game for me.

Damn mine downloaded in about 30 minutes. This game is ok, graphics are good and gameplay is ok but i think it would get boring and repetitive after awhile. It is pretty cool you can pick up just about anything and kick some zombie ass though.

Ditto, Great GFX lovley & squishy but, seems a bit repetitive. Hopefully the full game will have more to do.

I thought the demo was pretty entertaining, especially the sledgehammer. Even though the demo makes it seem like the game could get boring quick, I bet that the sheer size of the mall and the story will help. I thought the graphics were pretty good as well. I'm pretty sure I'll buy it, it should last a while.

I just finished playn the demo and it is a very fun game i love the skateboard but it sucks that it breaks after you kill a few zombies with it and if you go to any cutscene the demo ends.I already preordered this game and am looking foward to getting it on tuesday also the little bosses and cutscenes look very cool and interesting.

No problems here with freezing, But I have to say I liked the demo it does seem it can be repetitive but after all it is a demo and is there just to give you a taste of the game I am betting full game will not get repetitve, I will not give this game a bad remark just because of the demo look at chromehounds people said that was a bad game just bythe demo and the full version turned out to be awesome game so I think dead rising full version will be awesome and definatly pick up.

I like it, smashie goes the dead! Lets see, the third time I played it, I put the Lego helmet on and ran around with it! One of the zombies accidentally hit another one trying to get me, and they fought. It was funny, got a nice picture in the game, but alas, it's gone...Glad I pre-ordered it, and paid it off.

I loved the demo... I cant wait for tuesday. I had tons of fun sticking hangers in their heads, mowing them down with a shopping cart, and tossing guitars at them. I crapped up when bowled the bowling ball and knock down like 10 zombies.... BTW the katana was the coolest weapon ever, slicing everyone in half left and right... Pure awesomeness.

The game is simple, very entertaining and it's really quite creative in its delivery. NO this game is nothing like State of Emergency. SoM was one of the worst games ever created. Dead Rising will be one of those games I remember playing 10 years from now.

To save those of you a bit of time, Burtality said something about a Katna, yes there is one and here is how you get it.
Go upstairs in the mall and head for that foodcourt thing in the middle , when up there head right past the counter and you will see an orange awning jump on to that awning and there is a shiney new katana. It is major bad-ass ness but it breaks very quickly.

Which reminds me, is anyone else anoyed by the fact that everything breaks after so many attacks? I can uderstand things having a limited amout of ammo.... but for knives and knight sticks to be limited is pretty lame.

This is good game design. It stops the overuse of powerful weapons and forces you to look around and use more weapons. In a game like this where so many things can be a weapon I can't see it being a problem.

The frying pan heats up, and then you take it off, find a zombie, push and hold X, and laugh your arse off at what ensues. Enjoy!

What I meant was the similarities. You are in a mall. There are tons of people to easily kill.

However, any zombie game is obviously cool. But stating that it is nothing like SoM is not true. Yes, there are differences, but it seems to me like they just took the idea of SoM and made it way better...

Yes the good 'ol hunters knife, hard as heck to break and fast both at the attack and dispatching the shamebling hordes. Probably my favorite weapon.

As for kills, last night I just went bezerk and my time ran out almost imediatly after getting the bonus for 350.

I really like the sledgehammer and the hangun, I really like getting the three handguns off the guards and going on the nearby grey fountian thing and dropping zombies as they come close.

As for numbers I have goten about 230 or so as my best.

I expect to play a mission. I am sure Capcom doesnt want this game to be a repetitive "lets kill everyone in the mall" game like that of the disastrous State of Emergency, so how about giving the players a taste of what the story will be played out like?

LOL, I just pulled home the demo, and it's pretty good. I mean, killing evil, mentally retarded zombies hordes in all it's glory, but it might get pretty repetative. I don't think I'll buy it, I have already many games to buy, and this one doesn't feel that important. I'd say it's kinda of a party game you play with your friends, that you play and just mess around and showing off crazy moves, and just have a laugh at all the violence.
