That was one of the first missions that really gave me a hard time....
You have to time your assault against the enemy attack waves... If you hold back they will stack up pretty thickly and you have a hard fight to pass them.. basically I passed it by steadily advancing forward across the bridge. If you stop your advance the enemies seem to build up rapidly and overwhelm you, if you keep smashing them and advancing to cover you can catch the majority of the enemy out in the open while they are moving to cover. Expect to have several tries where you just get stomped on but then you'll have one attempt where you manage to break through them and you can roll across the bridge wiring up the supports to blow.
