you're the kind of person who give amaericans the name that they have, 99% of the world hate americans (i'm part of the 1%) but its hard to defend the american people when ignorant people like you assume that you are able to assume things about countries because they arent yours.
"i'm an american man, everyone in europe uses the euro! everyone outside america speaks hajji, not english...i mean american! english people stole the name football from us! our football has been around longer than their damn football...i mean soccer....HOOAH!!!"
seriously man, read a ****ing book
EDIT: oh and BTW, i dont pay $12 more than you for a game, i pay $50 - $60 more than you for a game. lucky me eh, i guess education goes a long way...even if they wont let me into the USA
oh and karma, i love the capitalism, you're preaching to the choir, but like any true capitalist i dont like it when its ME being ripped off

Off the top of your head, what is the official currency of Saudi Arabia? China? Russia? South Africa? Since you expect 300,000,000 Americans to know the UK inside and out, why don't you tell me who the 4 men depicted on Mt. Rushmore are? All are fairly easy questions, but everyone in the world is focused on their own lives, getting an education, going to work, raising a family, etc. I don't expect every Brit to know who George McClellan was anymore than I expect the average American to know who Lord Nelson was. |

Posts: 3,814 | if i "researched" those things as thor said he did i'd easily have the answer to each of them, to "research" the currency here in england and come up with euros is just stupid, "what currency is used in england?" is really not that difficult a question to answer

Kinda weird, they all start with R.
But Kharma is right. Not everyone is going to know the exchange rate. Why would they? Unless they are an investor of that type or have to do business overseas.

Step one would have been to find out what currency you use. The answer is Great Britian Pesos. |

Posts: 3,519 | Euros is the currency of all EU countries except UK and Denmark(some non-eu countries have euros as there offical currency aswell though), i persume thor was just persuming that as alex is european and in the EU zone that he uses euros, why would he be aware that the UK doesnt use the currency of all other open trade eu countries?
He would have never been told the likes.
And karma i actually would know the 4 lads up on the mountain, and the currency of two of those countries off the top of my head.
Its not viable for everyone but i like to know whats going on in the world around me, of course i dont have to or really need to, but i think it helps understand the greater scheme of things a bit more.

Posts: 5,238 | Wow that was deep .... Any who, I knew England has used the BP for eons. I thought it was common US knowledge but obviously I was wrong. Obscure countries which were cited as examples are irrelevant as the UK is a very popular tourist attraction for US vacationers if not the most popular foreign tourist destination. |
