CoD4 MP Beta Announced

Today they announced that the public CoD4 Multiplayer Beta will come out on the Marketplace in the next couple of weeks. I can't load up charlie oscar delta's web page so can someone please give the people a link announcing the beta? If not, just go to charlieoscardelta.com. Oh yeah, and they are giving away free prizes if you sign up...!

It reads like it won't be a simple case of downloading the beta from the marketplace, which may explain why the official site has gone into snail mode.

Yeah the beta is going to be given out in first come first serve keys! Which in my opinion isn't good! They should give it to the loyal community members on their site!

Gameman... look at what it says on the beta page. It says you will have to watch the page until you can join it (answer the trivia questions), so no one knows the EXACT date.

Oh I see! I went on the oscarcharliedelta and I'm like what's a token. You need to get the token number and redeem it. They say there gonna have a countdown, cool.

Wow, if they have a countdown, their site is gonna crash once it gets to about 20 minutes before.

they could be fair and start it everywhere rather than giving US citizens yet another timed exclusive and ****ing the rest of us off as if we're 2nd rate people

yeah thats what happened with the GTA IV trailer, i got to watch it on youtube before i could access rockstars site

Does anyone from across the pond know how to do anything other than cry.

My favorite wqas the other day, someone cried because we got a $20 price cut on the hd dvd dropping our price to $180, then went on to tell us that they werent getting the price cut and still had to pay as they put it $180, that they have been paying since launch. Guess what, you guiys get timed exclusives.

A game I have been waiting to come out for the 360 since the 360 launched is Flatout. Guess who got that first but do you see me crying about it everytime you get something first. NO, I just sit here and quietly wait for the day that it comes out here in America, that is unless I get tired of crybabies.

I am pretty sure you guys have gaming companies over there, maybe if they made some half decent games you could get them first. Until then there is nothing we as gamers can do over here about it so quit crying to us and send these companies email telling them how you feel about it.

Not very necessary.....It's understandable that they always get the short end of the stick but that's the way it is and will always be.

trust me, if you had it the way that we do you'd be pissed off too, it has nothing to do with the fact that game companies are in america because the games are usually released only a few days later here than there, so don't make it sound like because the games are developed in the US that it isn't possible to release them here at the same time as they do over there because the gap we are talking about is like 2-3 days, what reason could they possibly have to make us wait a few days more than americans other than to slap us in the face? they could very easily release those games simultaniously. i know it's not a long time to wait but the short time just proves that there is no need in it at all. trust me thor, if you constantly had the short end of the stick and then had to pay approx double the price for the **** you get you'd be pissed off too.

and how can you say that people from the UK are crybabies? at least we have a reason to be, americans get all these perks such as the cheaper games, cheaper hardware, the earlier releases, occasional free content on the MP not available outside the US and things like the VMP and they STILL constantly cry about prices etc!

By the way I think a CoD4 Multiplayer Beta is way overrated.

Well that just goes to show that people are never happy. I for one have never complained about the price of anything related to gaming on this forum or any other that I can recall. I wasnt happy about the prices going to $60 a game but at the same time understand why they have. There is always a small hope that the prices will go back down as more time passes. And its not like they are making me pay for the game, its my decision on whether or not to buy a game or a peice of hardware.

well the thing is thor, you call me a crybaby but i'm simply stating facts, your games just went UP to $60 and may go DOWN, our games are and have been $100 since launch, i doubt you'd like that, but when i mention it i'm labeled a crybaby, can you honestly tell me that it wouldnt annoy you if you had to pay $100 per game when others pay $60 or less?

the prices that i pay for games are extortionate, totally ridiculous, but i'm a true gamer and i couldnt just refuse to buy games, i just have to find the money for them. but in america games are so cheap (compared to here) i'd have many more, and i'd have everything i want from this autumn lineup instead of choosing my top 3 or 4 because of the stupid prices that we have to pay here

Yeah, the situation sucks, but that's just how it is. If EA could sell their games for $100 here, they would, but its all about what the market will bear. Capitalism beats socialism any day of the week. Free market FTW.
