COD4 or HALO 3? Which do you prefer? - Page 5

I am someone who does not do Xbox live, just cause I would probably spend too much time playing. So I expect more from single player options in a game. Knowing this would you recommend COD 4?

i think there bboth like like the hmmmmmmmm even i think cod4 is a weee bit better cause when it lags u can still play it unlike halo..

I Love fooling around in forge and staying up all night playing pointless games of infection and doing the same old glitches over and over again with my friends on halo 3, however, I love both the campaign and online play of call of duty 4, the way it feels when you snipe someone in the head, and the sense of achievement when you blowup 4 people in a game of headquarters to win the game. Its a Tie in my opinion...

Single player on COD4 is only about 5 hours long so unless you play online there isn't a whole lot to offer.

Now that I have had both for while now I say CoD4. I play Halo 3 probably 30 minutes a week now and CoD4 around 8 hours a week.Hell, I play Rock Band with my friends more than Halo.

So Halo 3 is officially DEAD then?

I knew COD4 would kill it off to be honest. Come March/April COD4 will be playing second fiddle to Rainbow Six Vegas:2 in my house.

Nah, not dead for me. I seldomly play it but it's still fun. It's just hard to go from COD4 to Halo.

I was one of those people who turned in H3 just in time to get COD4. I decided that Ihated Halo3 for anything more than a usefull tool for getting a headache. The story mode in the single player is pretty much a wash between the two games though. They both have short sort of unfinished endings (yeah I know next game la la la) so if you're looking for a single player FPS... Maybe rent these two, and look at buying the Orange Box.

Too many annoying little children play halo 3. Ive noticed less kids in COD 4 and when there are kids playing they tend to be a bit more mature about it. Im gonna go ahead and say COD 4 is better than Halo 3.
Online in halo all people do is jump around and shoot, and i hate having to empty an entire clip into someone and it doesnt even kill them. That and the grenades are weak, when you throw a grenade at someones feet and it doesnt even kill lthem thats bull. This is why i like cod4 better, its much more realistic.

I like CoD4 because it is so realistic, unlike halo which like what horace said, you have to pump a whole clip into a guy which gets really annoying after awhile....but i do still play it once in awhile though

I played halo 3 once and that was the day after it's launch and since then i haven't played i never thought you could be so dissappointed with a game. I guess all that hype didn't help.

I just sold my copy of Halo 3 today for $45...I tried and tried and tried to like it, but I just can't..especially not after playing COD4. The single-player wasn't bad, but the multiplayer blows. But oh well, owning Halo 3 for 2 months for $15 isn't bad...since the cost of the game is $60 and I'm selling it for $45 two months after buying it. Now what to replace it with...I was considering Mass Effect, but that game looks like too much QQ (flapping of jaws) and not enough action. Now I'm starting to think I may get Assassin's Creed, BioShock, or Oblivion Game of the Year Edition. Any suggestions?

Call of Duty 4 all the way.

I owned Halo 3 from launch and was sooo dissapointed with both single and multiplayer. Multi got very boring very quickly, as already mentioned, having to stand there and shoot the same guy a million times before he dies is sucky.

And although the COD4 servers suck, once u get into a game it is ace. The challenages are a great idea and gives you something to play for, rather than just a rank.

I am still attempting cod4 single player and have been playing on veteran difficulty, so its taking slightly longer than 5 hours and is a real challenge. Love it!

I'm still trying to sell my copy of Halo 3 and no one wants to buy it lol. I even dropped the price to $40 from $45. If anyone wants to buy or trade, let send me a private message. I'm willing to trade for Assassin's Creed, Ace Combat 6, or Elder Scrolls Oblivion GOTY Edition.

I like COD4 better than Halo3 because the weapons are clearly more human/realistic than that of Halo.

I prefer H3 since the Campaign is twice as long (10hrs vs 5hrs) and not full of scripted moments that are exactly the same EVERY single time, also enemies that constantly respawn until you cross some line on the map is very poor design.
