COD4 or HALO 3? Which do you prefer? - Page 6

i agree with hollywood on some of those points, but damn, i think cod4 is so much more fun, especially online. The campaign is so-so. but i like it better then h3, even if it is shorter.
maybe i like cod4 online because i am able to do a lot better on it...i just really suck at halo. all of them.
i also think h3 has a lot more running and gunning. which isn't bad all the time, but sometimes i like to hang back and use my sights.
played h3's first 2 missions on legendary last night...holy crap. i might have died more then all the monsters i killed.
i really think how well you play the game effects how much you may like or dislike it. but some games, even if you do rule them, aren't always fun.

I've only just started playing COD3, it's not too bad. COD4 is obviously better but both are in a totally different league to H3 which sucks.

Halo 3 is back on top of most played games on Live. Not as quite as dead as you COD fanboys would like!!!

Still doesn't make it better than COD4 however.

The fanboys are the only people keeping Halo 3 alive at the moment.

If thats the case there can't be that many Halo3 fanboys about they've all sided with COD 4.

Don't get me wrong, I still like Halo 3 and still fondly remember the TTK moments. But unfortunetly it cannot compare with COD4 in ANY way.

The first time i played H3 i was throughly dissappointed so i don't play it much these days i'm on my sixth game of cod4 now and i still enjoy it.

Axe Man CoD 3 is very good on line and if you enjoy that then part 4 is going to really blow you away. Halo 3 sucks in my opinion but thats just me.

This would make COD3 more realistic....considering the mounds of men put into world wars.. a constant flow of enemies would seem more realistic than a limited amount.

yeah, i do hate the respawning and never ending flow of guys.
think there are a couple parts in cod4 where they seem to keep coming; like in the village where you are looking for th al asad guy at night. i seem to keep blasting them and more keep coming. those jerks.

For me it's pretty even. They're both extremely well done. Both have rather annoying problems.
COD4: sniper hit detection is weird, inconsistent hit damage (all tested).
Halo 3: really weird rank system (skill, not EXP), also some weird hit detection (all tested).
I know I'm forgetting stuff but that's all I can remember.

So far, COD4 hasn't been challenging enough, veteran campaign was ridiculously easy except for Mile High Club. I've also found multiplayer to be a little easy. Every once in a while I'll find a group of guys who really know what they're doing though, and that's always fun, except for the fact that my team usually doesn't do anything good those games.
It also seems like there's pretty much no communication between teammates. I usually play headquarters, so I'll go in and kill the guys, and try and destroy the headquarters, and I'll say, "hey spread out for the next headquarters", but for some reason they all come anyways, it's like they think they'll get extra points if they're there as well (you only get extra points if you're the first guy at the headquarters and are there 'till the end). I think Prestige Mode is retarded. Gold weapons are also weird, give me a gold M40 or .50 cal instead of a Dragunov. COD4 custom games don't seem to be very popular, as people are too busy ranking up.

Halo 3 has a lot more competition in its games, and to me is USUALLY more fast-paced. I have tons more friends that play that game, and using Forge and playing Custom Games is awesome. Still not a lot of teamwork, but I play with friends and we all know what we're doing in Halo 3. My main problem with Halo 3 is the Melee system, although a recent Bungie.net update has said that they're working with MLG Pros and other players to improve that system and make it better.

The lack of teamwork also bothers me in COD 4. ESPECIALLY when it's Domination and people run around killing people instead of trying to capture the territories!

LOL exactly. Needa get a group of people going who are consistent players so don't need to play with these noobs.
